1. Hi, why are you attaching the lifeline of your vest to the boat lifeline. When you fall off the boat at >10 knots nobody can help you.
Otherwise great boat and nice ride to the coast. Keep your wife happy by turning on the water heater 😊

  2. I would hope the hot water tank/heater would keep the water hot (enough) for a min 12 hours. Hopefully 18-24. Should be able to heat up the water in the morning when you motor out of the anchorage. Maybe that's why it didnt draw power?

Even if you dont use the engine on passage, I hope you can heat water using mid day sun and it would be warm enough the next morning.

  3. Not so sure I would trust that top life line with a tether. Suggest you get one made with 2 tethers, 1 long (1.5m – 2m) & 1 short (.75m – 1m). Might be more comfortable at the helm at 17kts, yelling & smiling! Are the cheeks sore from the grin?! Fair winds…

  4. Hi guys, I don’t understand if you’re living in such a beautiful yacht hot water is what you need to have a good life Stefan needs to learn happy life happy wife LOL and least his wife wants to be hygienic and have a good shower if you have a cold shower, you gonna be in an out Two seconds and you’re not gonna wash everything anyway love your videos. Keep up the good work Cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 from the big island 🏝️ 🧑🏾‍🦽🐨🦘🌏🇦🇺

  5. Protip, maybe install a jackline to hook on. Lifelines are not safe for that purpose, and will probably give if you go overboard, or just fall.

  6. So? 🙂 Did the water get hot drawing zero amps? Is it heated also by motor running? Was it already hot from the anchorage exit motoring? Or did you sail off anchor? What was the battery percentage after arriving?
So I can think of four possibilities…. 1. water was already hot. 2. Error in reporting zero amps when actual is higher. 3. It failed to heat and you had a actual problem. 4. For some weird reason it’s a very slow ramp up in draw.
Please please give answers if you can…. it’s great to be able to follow along with you guys, but the Great Debate needs a resolving answers session. 🙂
And yeah, as others have said, happy wife, happy life. 🙂

  7. The absolute best in the life is to sail a fast boat! I'm in the same boat that Stefan! But in the other way I'm with Holly, no excuses to turn on the water heater. And the O'Kelly's are the best.

  8. For the hot water heater drawing 0 amps. It is possible that your batteries were actually at 100% and the solar charge controllers were in absorption mode not producing power. That would be the case if your battery monitor did not reset to 100% properly. Then you turn on the hot water and the solar panels cover the draw. It can happen if your solar charge controllers are not set correctly. I have had it happen with my Victron system.

  9. Hey Guys, We were pumped watching you guys sail under those conditions. Maribel said I would wahooing just like Steph. Hahaha Way to go.. We LOVE that you guys use your safety gear!!!! Steph.. Stop being stingy with the hot water 😂

  10. Stephan is definitely in his element with the fast sailing , like a little kid in a candy shop! Boat seems so stable and quiet!
    Can’t beat hot showers!👍
    Thanks for sharing!
