Bate vantul.

The Van Isle 360 race is scheduled around Seymour Narrows, not only the time of day but the best days of the month for that leg. (worst case is 11 knots current) One of our (well mine anyway, not so sure my wife is on board yet) goals is to go around Vancouver Island. Not so sure we will make it in the 14 days the race does but I am sure we can come up with a 4 week schedule. Lots of places to go and see in the mean time.
I'm curious about your use of diesel and provisioning. Obviously, you have to motor when you have to motor. But how far apart are opportunities to refuel and/or reprovision?
Do you "wet a hook"?
so beautiful. this beats alot of other places you can sail to
This is hilarious: Roxy barking at the whales
Ho-hum, another excellent video……… I was happy to see Doggy on shore at the end. Stay warm!
Good job getting thru the Straits
When I sail in the south of Chile and find those fishermen's ropes, I do the same as them, anchor in the bow and a short mooring aft to the fishermen's rope. They taught me. I have seen up to six fishing boats tied to the same rope using this method.
Such a fine job of editing!
You two are the Real Deal. Highest complement I can come up with and as always,🌎 thanks for taking us places we can only dream of.
How old is Roxy?
Beautiful place down there. Smiles all around from you all. Love the narration as you go along. Wonder if Kate is drinking too much creek water though. She gets hilarious sometimes. Roxy is having the time of her life too. You all are the best. Keep having fun, stay warm and stay safe.
Favorite video here. Well maybe second; the horn rounding was hard to beat. Beautiful. Interesting vid and narration detail. 👍 👍 .
Imagine going through there in a square rigger, no motor, with a crew who hated you or thought you were nuts. Here there be dragons.
You guys are Awsome.
If anyone in the North Sea area (England, Belgium, Netherlands, northern France) area is seriously considering sailing Chilean Patagonia, let's connect. I'm gearing up for such a project, timeframe 2025.
Love y'all! And XOX to Roxy!
👍
Roxy is a sentinel 😁
Thank you both as always. Your channel is refreshing in that it’s about sailing. The scenery was spectacular. Already looking forward to your next video. Stay safe.
You got some fancy knots you want to share?
👏👏👏
Well, that was exciting…..anchoring at dusk. You two take care out there. You don't want to miss bikini weather in the South Pacific🙌🏻 See you next time.✨ 🌊 ⛵️ ⚓️ ❄️🌧️✨
Nice work arriving for the transit of the narrows at slack , sort of. As soon as I saw the water surface I knew it was 4+, good job on the helm anticipating the eddy’s effects ! Doesn’t matter how many times you do it it always raised my heart rate. I would second guess myself and wonder if I did something wrong in reading the tide tables and anticipating wind driven water build up on Side or the other? Your good having 8 kn speed capabilities 6 was about all we could do so had to be careful in coastal British Columbia inland passage . Love watching your adventure, thanks for letting us come along!
😃
What a stunning scenery! Wow
so interesting to watch
A great team.
Fabulous episode and especially enjoyed the anchoring/ shore lines. The scenery blows me away. All the best
😃👍👍👍❤ Roxy is a great 13-year-old boat Gard dog, Thank you both for another very scenic and well edited video!
Keep it up! Love the videos!
Stunning scenery. The whales (humpbacks?) were wonderful to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventurous lives with us ❤⛵️
I reccomend all sailors become a patron…just honoured to be a small part of an EPIC journey…whale shots awesome… Finn
Awesome! and beautiful. thanks!
Around the seven min mark I noticed that the "dog watch" was on duty.
Very coolio guys… 😎 Go Rozy Go… 😄 Kate doing all the work again Curtis…? 🤪 Be safe… 😀 Good tunes at 8:30 Who was it….?
Wow…. beautiful passage. Love Roxy's enthusiasm. She is really getting gray. Thanks for continuing to share your amazing journey.
Great job, having the Roxy cameos is important. I forgot to mention Panama is having a drought, limiting crossings. A lot more container ships will be opting for the Straits of Magellan instead of waiting for weeks to transit.
Beautiful scenery shots. Whales were my favorite. Of course, seeing Roxy taking part in the adventure and she's enjoying the wildlife too ❤
So beautiful…
WAS the high water due to storm surge; was the high tide level lower the next day? I like the music you chose for this video, but the scenery is so beautiful, you don't really need it. Amazing. If only you folks could have Roxy get the drone up, especially for the humpbacks. 🙂 Thanks.
Roxie looked right at Curtis when he said “treat” !!
My doggie knows that word “treat” too. So cute.
Another great job and your enjoyment comes through and makes me smile often, thank you and keep up the great work! 🙂
euuu slimy hands, lady, you da bomb, grabbing up that nasty looking rope.
Go Roxy Go!!!!!
Nasty current, you can see the ripples in the water 🤯
The Strait of Magellan! How cool is that?!?!?👍🏻
I sailed that area when I was in the Chilean navy. As a tip, don't even think about eating bivalve mollusks because they could get red tide, which is deadly for humans. Greetings to both of you.
Enjoyed learning more about stern ties.👍🏻
Roxy Rocks!
Hi you three, thanks for showing us the beauty. How long are your blue and green lines and what size is it?
