If you get a chance, when you're in Sydney, it's roughly a day's sail to Pittwater. Pittwater is a great place just north of Sydney Harbour.

I felt like you about Kindle for awhile, even though I was an early adopter because I love innovations. It took me awhile, but the sheer beauty of easy access to millions of books from anywhere, adjustable text and brightness (reading at night without light, for example), and lower costs than print for many of the books I love, have made me a complete, almost 100% convert. For a long while after I got the first version I read both ways – still loving the "feel" of books – but about the third or fourth version of Kindle in I found I was choosing to read on Kindle more and more. May not be the same for you, you are such a unique (I mean that in a totally POSITIVE way) but do yourself the favor giving Kindle a complete and honest trial. It's the perfect solution for your circumstances.
