I've tried 2 makes of electric outboards both 3hp on my Hurley 22 long fin and i have to say they were rubbish. Probably ok for a 2 minute shunt on the inland waterways, but on the coast and East coast rivers you may as well use a food mixer over the stern. Also tried electric on my Drascombe coaster and again no use at all once the tide starts running. Petrol rules for me.

Don't stop the sailing these are some of my favourite vid's. Reminds me of my first boat a Hawk Cabin boat. Great fun even if not kitted out as well as yours.
Rutland Water is a nice sailing spot. You did a great job when you refitted Meraki she still looks very tidy. great update 2x👍

Id forgotten how much work you put into that little boat. I watched it all, but that seems like forever ago. I was hoping you'd go to at least a 25 footer, but you talk like you're stayed small. You can spare us the rap, i had to watch the last part on mute.

My guess is you are getting a boat capable of crossing oceans and going to another country.
I was looking for a backup outboard for my Viko 21 and had looked at the kicker as it was nice and small but figured it wouldnt have enough grunt. Shes only a lake sailer so looks like it might actually work as a get me home / to the nearest swing if my main outboard keeps being a pain to start…
