  1. Thank you for taking the time. I'm in the learning stage of possibly a liveaboard life and this is nice. I also missed out on two-parent parenting, so that warms my old heart

  2. It doesn’t do it justice when you watch the video. I’ve been in extreme bad weather myself, including hurricanes, it’s not a nice situation to be in. And I certainly think it’s even worse in a small boat.

  3. When we had our 33’ ketch, we ran into bad weather for the first time out. We ran into a force 7 gale head on, yet on the return trip we ran into a force 8 fresh gale. Because it was behind us, it was a smoother journey. Although I gained confidence and it added to my experience. It never happened to my missus. It was the last time she came on our boat 😂.

  4. What an awesome episode. I love how you guys sail. Just watching you, we learn a lot about "sailing" and the sea. I love it. The kids handle this life very well. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  5. Mahi Mahi, (Dorado) is so good fresh. Congrats. You might consider either just virgin olive oil or organic corn meal for the Mahi. It will taste better and be more healthy in general. Panko is made with wheat and most of that is not organic. Most wheat in the USA is harvested with Roundup to kill the wheat so it puts more energy into the kernel. Yet, the Roundup remains. It is toxic. Something you would not want to introduce to your daughter.

  6. I watched this episode on my TV and from the get go was shouting at the telly “launch a drogue!”. I am a retired sailor and open boat handler. While impressed by your home made drogue, I am wondering if you have a drogue on board appropriate for your craft and passage planning. If not why not? It would be standard kit on some of the craft I have helmed at sea.

  7. Great drone footage. For folks who have never been on a small boat in large seas, a camera never shows the true size of the waves. The drone perspective really shows the true relationship between the boat and the waves. Well done.

  8. Do you guys ever put your kiddos in "safety gear" when dealing with rough seas for so long? Looking at this, i'd likely wrap them both up in bubble wrap. 🙂

  9. Not only your boat went through another storm but above all YOU went through this, this adds to other experiences. Great for you. Be well. 👌👌👌
