I never thought America’s Cup technology is possible commercially (let alone on a 100+ ft yacht). So glad i was wrong and nothing short than well done to the Baltic Yachts team!

Can she lift off more or are the foils purely to increase the righting moment of the boat and hence the power?

I am not sure what is the point.
If you really want to cruise fast, especially for the width generated by the foil, you go for a gunboat.
I question if the weight/load in cruising boat doesn’t offset the performance of the foils?
All in all, considering up and downside, I am not sold on this, although certainly a great engineering achievement.
