As a piece of safety gear, I recommend to you to collect what fittings and hose you might need to gravity feed the engine from a jerry can. Then if all else fails on you good old reliable gravity will still work.
If you ever again need to unbolt stuff that is corroded or rusted….just poor Coca Cola over/in it. That usually does the trick! Oh and by the way, as a chrome cleaner…Coca Cola again! it will work for you! Love your new Artha by the way 🙂🙂🙂

…. when you loosened the shackle at the anchor you could bind the shackle against the anchor to get leverage, to get leverage on a chain/rope stick a big screwdriver through the shackle …… you got this .. also a couple of good wacks with a hammer to help dislodge any oxidation that could be hindering movement ….. all the best with your health infliction …. have you checked out any natural remedies from locals that have dealt with this ….. thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ….

I really enjoy the rawness of your videos. I'm a novice but interested in the sailing life as a retirement lifestyle. I'm not criticizing other channels, they are obviously doing something right because they are successful, but I am not interested in the girl who thinks she's a supermodel or the couples who look like they belong in a Hallmark movie always doing "cutsie" stuff and forcing melodrama. I'm interested in the rawness and minutia and what it's really like, and learning useful things. You are real. The fact that you are a cute young girl is irrelevant. Where most people would play that up you play it off. Other channels share information for clicks, you share reality. We need more reality in the world. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Those threaded shackles are wonderful, but such a bear, aren’t they? I started putting pipe thread compound (commonly called “pipe dope”) on the threads, I had it in my toolbox by chance from a plumbing repair, and it works FANTASTIC. It’s purpose is to keep threaded pipes from corroding together, to act as a gasket, and to add lubricity, but also adhesion. It’s incredible stuff.
