Great job, looking fantastic.
Looks like your Dad is a good teacher but you can also say, you're a good student………………….
I love the buzz bar protectors, but the bottom part of the red positive should also bed red because if you take the lids off both what’s to stop you mixing them up?
I love that your dad is helping you, so sweet.😊
Not-an-electrician… if “not an electrician” is an adjective, make it a one word term like that.
Perfect level of detail. Many thanks.
Very interesting MP.
Go ahead because we love all details.
And the most important is you MUST know all Eletric System of your own boat!
Please, think abou night, boat movement and spare parts near where they are needed. As an airplane!
The crew has all spares beside the aplication local.
Hello MP and her dad, have you considered what would happen if the up and down buttons of the windlass are being pressed at the same time? Does the windlass have an internal protection against this condition or would you damage it by doing so? If the windlass should not have a built-in protection, then you should improve the relay-circuit in a way the either the up or the down relay can be on at a time, but never both. Even if your handheld switch would be mechanically interlocked, you have another switch in the cockpit, and maybe a foot panel later. Therefore, please think about all situations where more than one switch would be pressed at a time. Search for "contactor interlocking" for more information about this concept. Cheers!
is magical watching daughter learning from her dad, and you girl are the engineer of Yaba
You have spent 29 years with your Dad and it’s only now you have taken an interest in his professional! Bad daughter – where is the equality in that😮😂 No, I’m sure he is cherishing this time, just like you. There are so many boats like Yaba coming and going in the boat yard they must be particularly unique to South America – like the sand-pan and Junk are for Asia? One day you will have to give us all a run down on the crafts history and then what was Yaba in her last reincarnation?
The workmanship that goes into boats. Never stop learning and superseding
All the positive comments make me wonder if people can not see 'the forest for the trees'
It's a lovely concept but from the outside looking in the outgoing
£££$$$$$$ must be extraordinary recovering in the future will be either not of interest or never in a lifetime 😮
I may just be envious or ???? But your lack of day jobs against the obvious labour costs not even accounting for tonnes of material and the berthing oh and your travel lead me to believe you both are financially independent…….good luck to you both❤
Very professional job but… i would be using small pieces of yellow heat shrink on every cable with the cable destination/purpose written on it – I've done electrical stuff on boats for 20 years and no-one remembers where cables go exactly after 10 years🍻🍻
Always worth learning about electronics and how the cables run!!
I loved you detailing the electrical installation of the boat
Seus vídeos perderam bastante qualidade e interesse, para mim.
BAaaaHAaaHAHAHAhahahahaaaaaaaaa I never thought anyone could wipe that much CUTE off of your face!!! That was funny! Thanks, I needed a good laugh. But, the real tasks are quite daunting and seeing you guys tackle these chores is very motivating for me. Thanks for showing us this project, a full ship-home rebuild! I also want to do this!
Thanks
keep the details looking great !! :))
I enjoyed learning about the electrics, thanks
Yes yes yes, MORE detailed electronic installation and discussions about WHY you made your choices. That's valuable, and you can still make that content go by quickly, with diagrams and quick narratives like you did. It's wonderful, please just show us what you're excited about. That's when the content is the best.
The girl in the thumbnail looks so shocked, it's hilarious!
You really should have put cable glands around all of the places which you passed those cables trough a piece of wood, otherwise you are going to get chafe. Everything on a boat moves and if its not secured or isolated enough, its going to wear and cause problems down the line.
She's going to burn that boat down, you better get somebody that knows what they're doing
Installing 24v battery near the windlass and you will avoid to pass big long cable, and the voltage drop involved. Install also a dedicated battery charger beside. Like this, the only long cable will be a normal size AC one, feeded by inverter or generator.
You do great 🙂
Not gonna lie. MP ~ that "exploded" look. Did you really do that? Oh my goodness! Oh well. You guys R so funny sometimes. Keep the faith. All incredible. No argument here. A beautiful boat. Absolutely. An incredible boat. Absolutely. Whew! So there ya go. Nice. Always. ~~~ ❤~~~
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 videos are great, spending time with family needs not shortened, his education to you is wonderful, it has been a while now, been watching since i seen this video of a bunch of worm ridden hull boards and thinking of HOW DID IT EVEN FLOAT IN TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WATER !! 🌠
Nice when your Elec Specialist wears a Sailin Yaba shirt, even better when he's ya Dad. The length of the wires though, might need a battery/ies closer to windlass . Thanks m8s, done real well, keep up the good work.
Thanks
MP PLEASE CORRECT ANGLE OF THE RELAY ELECTRICAL BOX TO VERTICAL!!! That way, following hull angle never ever!! It is lying to the back and can accumulate condensation water( bu relay heatup) Sorry your father, send him to Milei
I like the funny picture of MP doing electrical.😊😊😊😊
Yaba,
You might want to put a switch on the power wire to your windlass control. Just to prevent an accidental anchor deployment or retrieval.
Can't wait to see you on the water in Yaba.
Hi, so nice to see a girl who gets so involved in the technical stuff on board Yaba! Hang in there, you always get it done! Remember, this is also part of the journey! Greeting Svein-B
You did great! About the right level of detail. Andcas always Go Yaba!
