BA_CON, that was to funny Rivers. The actual way to say it is LARD, pronounced LAR in french. To funny buddy, and good for you guys you made it safe. See you next time.
Merci Beaucoup for the French song. I am a French Canadian. I love every Episodes of SailAway. Can’t wait for the next one every week. Sincerely Jean.
the valve is a back-flow preventer got like 3 on my boat work very well
yep , those vents in the side of the boat might be the main culprit for all the water in the engine room. Just a little bit of work to do to sort it out.. but at least you are in a beautiful location lol
Rivers is so smart – love that kid! Love all of you! Thanks for blessing us with another video, &
congrats on making it to your beautiful anchorage! Cheers, Wanda 🤗
Good job, Capt.Eric. And thanks for the ride.
Too bad you caught the SE component of the trades, instead of NE – E. A southerly course can be rough.
Glad you two weathered it. Nothing like competant crew…Loren and Otto. 😅 lol
Beautiful Martinique! Congratulations! Cheers!
We really miss Martinique. Maybe we’ll get there again one day!
"We're not exactly sure where we're going…but we're getting there." Reminds me of a great quote from Quigley Down Under that gets used a lot in our house "Don't know where we're going, but there's no use being late."
Another great video. That opening shot of Loren at the winch with waves and the sun burning through the clouds behind her is phenomenal! It's great to see the boat doing (mostly) well and the issues getting squared away.
Don’t you have wind vane mode on your autopilot?
Catamaran owners really have to focus on the tall bow designs – that keeps water under the boat.
Happy to see you're making good progress. It's a shame about the Cat in that whoever had it before clearly didn't keep up with maintenance or upgrading systems after they'd worn out. The good news is you'll eventually get a handle on it and little by little things will get easier. I have to say for a big ole'girl she sails really well it looks like and has to be night and day comfort wise compared to a mono, sorry mono sailors but you know it's true. I'm going to leave something below for everyone to read as I truly believe time's getting short and honestly I'd have to hate you all to not make you aware of things most have never seen or bothered to look into.
Isiah 53 describes in graphic detail how our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, would be executed 610 years before that method of execution had even been invented. In the Qumran Cave Dead Sea Scroll discovery of 1946 – 1947. There was an entire Isiah Scroll recovered and our Bibles are pretty much a match to it. That scroll is from 200 BC, (give or take a decade or so), so even if people say there's no way Isiah predicted all he did about the Lord's coming and execution 700 years before it happened. The date of that Scroll sets it firmly 200 years or so before the Lord was even born and that method of execution still hadn't been invented yet. I've seen reports that crucifixion was found to be used by the Romans in 90 BC but that still doesn't explain how Isiah knew about it in 610 years before that time or even if you date it by the Isiah Scroll that was found in the Dead Sea Cash dated to 200 BC.
If I had just Isiah 53 I could preach the Gospel as we find out from the story of Phillip and the Eunuch. Isiah 53 is among the strongest proofs that our Bibles do in fact contain God's Word showing His divine nature in His Prophetic Words given to Isiah via the Holy Spirit. That one chapter, Isiah 53 alone shines such a light on modern day Judaism and yet it is not taught by their rabis, they skip or ignore it as if it doesn't exist. I've brought it up to modern day Jewish friends by reading that chapter, (without letting them see where I'm reading from in my Bible), and they almost always say that's New Testament we don't believe in that. Then I show them it's actually the prophet Isiah and they normally react in one of two ways. Anger towards those who're supposed to be teaching them God's Word, the makers of their Bibles that omit the verse or they get angry with me and say it's made up in our English Bibles, (or any Bible), that has the verse and or claim it's mistakes in translation. Which is truly sad in that our Savior is the one and only way to salvation for any of us. We know from our Bibles that they will one day believe as that's one of the main reasons for the tribulation, to bring His people Israel back to Him. It's just sad knowing they don't have to arrive in Heaven well done if they'd just believe in Him now.
With the entire book of Isiah I could preach the Gospel for a lifetime as it lays it all out, including how it ends.
Take care and God Bless.
G'day from Australia. Love watching your videos. Stay safe
Love your channel. And you've got me looking at classic catamarans more and more. Like the Gemini's, or PDQ's or your type. (Forget manufacture of your boat.) But I'm sorta hooked. Really liking the thought of a cat like those now. What other brands can I search for? Cuz I'm looking. ❤😊
The one way valcves you talke about, do work. we have them, but then had to replace the pumps for enough power as these kind of make it difficult for a starting pump. Hence consider really well, long hoses do benefit from one way valves but you need to clean them regularly (more work again)
Eric did you ever get that engine unseized, a test on youtube where transmission fluid, then acetone added to it, marvel mystery oil , and then just plain white vinegar unseized all the rings freely
Thank you from British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦
I appreciate your honesty in boat owning. Makes me feel calmer every time our boat has an issue. Just part of the journey!!
The air vents should be facing aft i think.
