Curious I see you have a little Mercury outboard so why don't you use that instead of row your dingy? Gas issues? Just wondering.
A good sail it was. I hope your feeling better too. Take care of yourself and a good Vitamin C is preventive. Cya next time. ✅
Thanks!
peacevibe2u….love the hoody the gecko is nice
Hello holly' my name is iain you are living the dream, I can't wait to sail myself solo first time next year 2024 your knowledge and skills have taught me me some' whisker pole set up, good idea, what was the app you where using was it naveonics,? brilliant , 💯👍be safe fair winds iain
But you don't care if your engine doesn't start and you know even if it's in a life-or-death situation you still are a pathetic about it because you like smelling the carcinogenic diesel smoke that's been declared since 2012 to be a known carcinogen…. The engine weighs a lot the fuel tank weighs a lot the fuel inside the tank weighs a lot the hardware and the other components on the engine are very heavy including the heat exchangers and exhaust pipes and this and that….
I think ( know I know ) you are so inspiring cheese
If I was 20 years younger I would have bull *** my way on to your boat by now 😂.
I really enjoyed your videos.
Why do you like sailing?
Me: well im a masochist 🙂
masochist: (in general use) a person who enjoys an activity that appears to be painful or tedious.
thanks tish!

Whoso loves, believes the impossible.
I truly love the way you’re so articulate in your descriptions of everything!☺️
"… I've read it poetry…" LOL😄
I WISH TO YOU , HOLLY…. A SOON AND FASTER RECOVER….. TAKE GOOD CARE CAPITAN…. FAIR WINDS AND MY KIND REGARDS…. 🌷😘🍾🥂…. CHEERS…..
Can't agree more with you don't need all the fancy gear. On that note I have fallen in love with dyneema soft shackles instead of metal shackles. Especially for any halyard with shackle that use to be capable of swinging free and hitting me in the head. After a bit of youtube or ropesplicing app, and practice while anchored or moored, all you need is a short length of rope to make a shackle spliced and with a chinese button knot.
It seems the way of top end racing riggers now too, always chasing that less weight up the mast.
I even use a large soft dyneema shackle on my mooring cleats to loop on mooring ropes now, thats been through some very rough stuff and not been an issue. I also attach the anchor snubber to the chain with a soft shackle that fits through th chain. At rough anchorages I have had the snubber pull free with chain hooks 🪝 in place but never rattled free a soft shackle in the chain so far. Easy to undo after load too. I do like the mix of new technology with old ways in this too.
Amazing you left feeling sick.
Thanks for the whisker pole ideas.
👏👏👏

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤
what would be your dream boat
Ever thought about changing your boat for something a bit bigger, or more modern? Are you happy with what you have? If money was no object.
Sweet vid.
A company called Samson has a booklet that shows you how to splice your lines, they also make quality line for replacing your weathered lines and even the old ones will work for a long time after they are replaced. I’m land locked currently and I still have retired gear in my pickup truck, I never know when I might have to pull a tree out of the road or someone else out of the ditch.
Stellar episode!! You are such a very intelligent person, and this episode shows that in spades. You’re also letting your hair down and more ways than shown. Thank you for showing your reality in a way that is honest, and also very vibrant with the life that is true to sailing. You are clearly one in 1 million on the oceans of our planet.
I love Vanuatu and have been in a lot of those anchorages you show. I think I remember the same clearing shed from 40 years ago but they didn’t call it biosecurity then. Rib injuries are a bugger, cracked one of mine in a similarly silly manner, a loud bang followed by three months of pain. I hope you have it behind you. No need to be shy about tough times, if you don’t put some of them in those of us who are also crazy enough to do this will be wondering what we do wrong.
Do you get seasick?
Stay safe.
The whisker pole information was great. Thank you
Enjoyed this episode, real life.
Wow, 27 f small boat and so many years sailing!! Congratulation!!
Great videos you make!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“… I’ve read it poetry…” 😂😂😂
I am constantly amazed at this young woman’s curiosity and courage. Thank you for showing as much of your story as you can. Your realism and down to earth approach makes this EPIC journey seem almost day to day the girl next door.. what a strange dichotomy. You are an amazing your woman Holly i am stunned by your grace.
