După ce a cumpărat o jumătate de Amel Super Maramu distrus, a ars cutia de viteze a motorului nostru de 300 NM până la curtea de reparații, apoi a fost în derivă ore în șir pentru a fi salvat de o navă de transport. Apoi am încercat să împingem nava noastră spartă la 16 NM cu o mizerie în afara portului. Astăzi suntem în sfârșit remorcați în curtea noastră de reabilitare din Pangkor Marina. A spune că călătoria de până acum a fost o provocare ar fi o mare subestimare! Cu doar 70 NM rămase, suntem gata să începem acest refit. Navigand în Polinezia Franceză în 2021, i-am întâlnit pe foștii proprietari ai bărcii noastre de salvare, un cuplu de italieni. Ei încercau să ocolească, când au avut o coliziune uriașă în jurul Singapore, fiind loviți în timpul nopții de o navă de marfă. Când am auzit că vor cere asigurare, am profitat de ocazia de a deține un Amel Super Maramu. Aceste nave au fost, fără îndoială, cele mai mari crucișătoare de apă albastră construite în anii 90 și 00, cu o urmărire imensă chiar și la 30 de ani de la prima construită. Cu noua noastră casă minusculă în mână, ne propunem să ne facem din nou o viață în afara rețelei și să mergem în ocean pentru a călători liberi. On the hard, she's really showing off her lines, but at the same time she looks massive! What a boat you got yourselves! I happen to be a long-time fan of Amels and I look forward to watching you restoring this one to her former glory. Pangkor is not the worst place to do it in, either! I grew up in that part of the world and lived and worked in the region (meaning Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia) for many years.
When towing, you can always lead the lines around the forward cleats and back to the sheet winches, especially when you think you have forward damage.
Oh, and why is there a figure 8 descender hanging on your broken mast?

👏👏👏👌I am very glad that they are already in the dry dock, it is very normal for you to be discouraged because you made a purchase that you thought was a mistake but IT WAS NOT AND IS NOT, EXCELLENT START, now I advise you because your Amel is very big that you divide the work into two sections, livework and deadwork, start with the masts and the standing rigging, then move on to working rigging, deck and finally hull, I DIDN'T MENTION THE ENGINE to you because it is obvious that you may have to remove it (maybe) and rectify, it is evident that the transmission has died, that is mechanical engineering work.
