💙 Cine suntem? 1. Thanks!

In answer to your question, it’s adhere. You were sanding the roof still at the paint would adhere better. FYI it’s referred to as a trowel not a spatula. I can think of three different kind of spatulas, but they’re all for the kitchen. There’s the long, thin spatula used primarily for cake decorating that’s generally metal. Next is the metal or plastic spatula that’s used for flipping food on the grill or in a skillet. And thirdly, we have the rubber ended spatula for scraping out bowls jars and if it’s silicone, stirring food in a skillet. It’s the one I like to use when I’m making an omelette. I say all of this in kindness, and with no intent to offend. I went to Germany once, and there was this American kid standing in front of me and Line complaining about all the foreigners, who couldn’t speak the language, and when I asked him if he could speak German, he said no I said you do realize you’re the very problem you’re complaining about. He tried to tell me he’s not a foreigner, he’s from America which I reminded him he’s not in America making him the foreigner.

  2. Hey Ben, you sounded like one of us Scot's folks when you said you hadn't seen the big bright thing in the sky for a while 😂😂
Great episode this week guys, you got lots done and are now much closer to the big splash than ever before

  3. Silicone roof coating by 838 might of been better to coat the two roofs. Sika also had a roof coating that might of been better. When we apply 838 it typically is given a twenty year warranty. Just a thought to check into.

  4. Looking great you two, just a suggestion and I'm sure you are going to tint the windows on the wheel house, so the glare will not bother you to much. Be safe stay healthy enjoy your week.

  5. Can't wait to see you and Duka & Roberta at the Annanopolis Boat show! We used to live innorthern VA and went to Annanopolis often. The inner harbor is awesome! ❤😅

  6. Your issue with the paint is, likely, because your applying it in direct sunlight. This 'could' be causing the paint to off gas too quickly resulting in bubbles in the finish. The good news is as you point out the paint can be sanded and re-applied;) Great work and I'm so excited to see you splash soon.

  7. The bubbles are a result of gasing. Air is being released in the wood as it heats up. Paint at 3 in the afternoon not 9 in the morning. I would think you learned this with all the epoxy surface work you have done.

  8. Wish I could meet you guys!! Unfortunately, that weekend is the GSMTS at Timonium (I have a YT M&G there) and Sunday is the Stella Maris Crab Feast. My daughter works for them and that is their annual day of giving to Hospice

  9. Ben and MP,
I've been thinking about your heat problem. While you're at the show you could check out some of the ingenious ways of cooling a big boat. I know of one fairly economical solution: I refer to the portable room aircon. I think that they might be mains voltage but is that a problem for you guys with your big engine and generator?
The ɓest feature of the portable aircon is that it is intended for use in the room you're in only so that you can avoid the cost of cooling the whole boat! You just take it with you when you move to a different part of the boat!

Believe me, I have lived in tropical climates most of my life and I still hate being hot and sweaty esp in bed at night! Ughh! It can be unbearable! Esp. in a boat! But that's all unnecessary these days with all of the different options available now.
    Enjoy the Boat show!

  10. Coming along nicely! So much work, so much maintenance when you are living aboard…
    Big boat= Big problems
    Small boat= small problems
    No boat= no problems!
So true, but I would still like to build another sail boat.
At my age I wouldn't live long enough to finish it though so I follow several of you young and energetic people with your boat projects. Carry on!

  11. I noticed your used Plex tubing for your hot and cold water. Plex will soften up with high temps of the hot water. And over time they will sag and or start to leak. To prevent this, secure the hot side to the boat structure as much as possible. Aleast no less than 16 inch.

  12. for my 47 endurance years back i had a dual masserator system for the toilet , it ensured no solid matter being discarded if going outboard of hull and had 2 way valve option by toilet to go into tank for in harbour use as here not allowed to discharge in harbours

  13. Just dumping greywater into the sea is questionable from a polluting point of view, internationally there are countries that does not allow this as sewage dumping is banned.
