What a wicked thing they have going on in Millbrook! We were so grateful for them showing us the ropes, and witnessing what an entirely different world cruising on a catamaran is like ⛵
Would you sail around the world on a Dazcat 1495?
Hello there, have discovered your channel this weekend and have had an absolutely fantastic binge. Started of watching you Atlantic crossing and then fell through the YouTube wormhole of your channel and have not looked back. Well done to you both on you progress and very much jealous of your achievements x
That cat looked like you were having so much fun. How did it feel to fly.❤❤❤
😂 Those guys are working on a full blown cruiser… The Daz cats are hot rods … Young couples and old salts may indeed travel far and wide in them as also the disability adapted boats they have done going back as far as the Impossible dream.. 😎
Open nets at the front mean you have to keep adventurous little kids and crazy pets under a close watch.
Love the fact they keep this wonderful yard hidden round the corner .. like Wharrams hide up the river a bit further south.😉
So glad you got to see a Rapier 550 … Its a boat that makes more and more sense once youve been dealing with the elements and big crossings . .full time.
The other thing is you can always plug in a hand tiller at the back and steer the spaceship like a dingy …still single handed 😊
Since you're featuring British made yachts
does this mean you'll be jumping on a big ass Oyster?
Lovely episode guys! That Rapier 550 is off the charts!
Been looking forward to this one! Completely jealous! Just need to win the lottery :-)!
Those smiles are likely a permanent feature of your faces. Terrific episode and a great story. Cheers!
Ahoy Teulu. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. The Hamoaze; Millbrook; Plymouth Hoe; Plymouth Sound and Cremyll. I really must get down there again for a holiday and to see all my old friends; 'Old' being the operative word these days, as none of us are getting any younger. As they say, 'Make Hay whilst the Sun Shines'. Trouble is, with the cost of everything in the UK at present – especially Petrol and food – us pensioners have to think twice about such things. The days of cheap B&B's are long-gone, too. Shame I don't have a Mobile Home, if only a small one. Such is Life. Looking forward to next week's episode in Dorset. Fair Winds. Russ.
Different viseo to your usual but very interesting. Thanks.
You two are an exceptional couple. Your life together is a dream. Enjoy! ❤
Good morning. Thank you for sharing this video about Dazcat. The absolute joy on your face Becka, while almost drowning on the little racing cat was priceless. I can't wait for the next chapter in your/our adventure. I hope you don't mind that I included myself in that. 😁 Stay safe.❤🙏
It was great to meet you both and we're so glad you enjoyed your time with us – those big, wide, Dazcat induced smiles! Thanks for the video and you're welcome to drop in next time you're in Cornwall.
Really enjoyed this one, a bit different but excellent. Really well shot and edited too. Thanks!
Time in millbrookshire with my favourite sailing channel! Double treat! Thank you and well done Teams Teulu/Dazcat
Amazing 👍
Stay away from Cats…Fast Racers & Great at Anchor, but unsafe in Open Ocean & terrible Cruisers…My Opinion😜 Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy 😎
I believe that Riley and Elayna also sailed a DazCat a while back…. Fun boats, mixture of speed and cruisability.
9:15 Becka, looked like you had a blast.
Sailing that cat look like a lot of fun.
Brilliant video!
Dazcat are really the "go to" people for a genuine performance multihull and such nice people!
Can't wait to order one!! 😀😀
Becka, I was waiting for the "WE'RE BLOODY DOING IT" when you were at the helm. 😂🤣
Thanks for showing this and we love your videos. The Dazcat team are also really supportive when it comes to disabled-adapt/accessibility. They were fantastic in helping my family get on the water with one of my kids being very disabled (our boat is Mangata 5, Dazcat 1295XL…they have a piece on their website)…wonderful boat. They also have great aftersales support, always available.
Love this episode. Good filming and music composition. And well done slowmo. Thanks!
Loved this! Teulu is a pilothouse / deck saloon type of yacht, I would love to hear your take on this design type compared to more conventional type cruisers? 😊
Interesting view of a performance cat!
Very cool video
Three thumbs up
Fantastic video thank you very much for sharing, absolutely great
Wow! What an experience you had 🥰
Thanks for the amazing story
Very bloody cool. Awesome video and experience..
Nice x
I have come across DazCats a couple of times before and what stands out about them is how genuine & passionate Daz is about sailing and attaining that perfect fit for his clients. He has done what most want to do with boats so understands what is best or what can or cannot work. What is really amazing is just how perfectly you caught his passion and translated that to video so the rest of us mere mortals can enjoy! Stay Safe & Fair Winds!! ☘
Did you get a world famous Cornish Pastie from Louise at Cawsand beach ?
Daz Cat should have put you onto those 😉
Yes that was seriously cool…😅😊.. but..seeing these cats and trimarans here in my marina..the costs for buying, maintaining and..most of your time..laying your ship in a marina..are also serious not cool. Always stays in the back of my mind seeing these cool cat/trimaran videos..and hoping it will be said in the videos too enough..to prevent younger people of thinking this is in their reach to sail around the world or cruise. It is not or overstrech their budget or only possible by buying a cheap old or wrecked one and being master in DIY..which..after so many often years of hard and harsh work and..in the end..also large costs…delivers this beautiful cat or trimaran. I love to encourage people to sail and life on sailing boats..bring older boats back to life..but sometimes worries the more cool sailing videos create a false start. But this was a cool experience for sure..with interesting design elements maybe be usefull for integrate in some way in our own old smaller more afforable monohull boats Teulu and 't Boegskip.🤔👍👊😎
That’s so cool! I’d love to go work on those boats!
Awesome episode guys, some great footage both ashore and at sea. What was the name of the boat in the tent you looked at with the Perspex window? Absolutely the right thing to do is give these old grp boats a new lease of life, so many good boats are put to landfill, there needs to be a better way to upgrade them that is more financially viable. Andy UK
British boats belong to the 60s and 70s. Became too difficult to compete with European boats and the English trade unions didn’t help.
Still think the Westerlies are hard to beat
