an incredible insight into behind the scenes, great presentation, thank you.
Engine room tour was beyond cool. I'll never have the opportunity to see something like that any where else besides YouTube most likely. Very cool.
7:22 so one thing I noticed about the crew area is that the doors are absolutely solid and look watertight and they are certainly fire doors I think I would be correct in assuming? Then I noticed that the door is propped open with a wedge. What is the normal procedure for fire doors been propped open like that? Is it okay? I’m not trying to be pedantic I’m just asking because if that was an office building fire officer would be going absolutely mental about it.
And all this for just 10 passengers,
Rather overwhelming
10:52 ‘where the girls take care of the crew and the guests’. The girls? Assuming it’s only girls who can do laundry? That’s a little bit racist against the fairer sex! 😏
Serious comment now despite my last one being silly, when you get down below and see all of the machinery you start to see where all the money goes when they build these things. I often think How can this thing be worth 50 million Or whatever, but then you start to see where a lot of that money goes. Millions and millions of pounds of technical equipment down there. 15:54
Fine point about the commonly poor lighting in the bridge.
That was great. Thanks to the crew and owner for allowing this.
Question for eSysman – Are the crews of yachts in this class and larger required to do fire drills? If so would they ever do them with guests on board?
Cool toor cool technical workers! What about safty first when you go into a technic room? No helmet wearing??? In Germany such technic tight low silings would have soft yellow grew head protection foam stuff so that you dont hit your head or face….Frank
Fascinating
Great episode. Please make similar about 60/70th Feadships 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Fascinating. Excellent insight into the ‘below decks’ operations. Thank you.
Great explanation about the phase synchronization in paralleling. It is a real problem, and one of the reasons why it takes a lot of time to get a power plant back on-line after it tripped.
Nice one happy days
I enjoy tours, especially yours, many thanks
man Ill tellya that I have never seen such clean engine rooms on a ship like those on SY's, from motor sailers and cargos to millitary ships I been on and sometimes crewed would normally have lube oil, dust and moisture around.
Thanks for the good fun !! : )
Just imagining what a tour like this would look like on my canoe…
I'd be interested to know where engineers get their training/schooling to enable them to work on large ships and how long it takes.
Wonderful episode! Thank you so much!!
The only use for the crank on the sound powered phones is to cause the other phones on the circuit to ring. They need no power at all in order for you to talk and hear.
THAT was AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for all the man candy. lol. 🤣
The difference between a normal SuperYacht an a really huge boat like 110+ in the Engine room is significant… 🙂
