Come visit Tucson while you're in the area!
What make of boat is it? and how long?
Eeeish what a jobby that is! I think I'd have to be rich to have a boat! Trusting someone else to do it is also a huge thing.. Hope it goes well, sorry about the sponsor, everyone's struggling..
I wish only Bella and Taj could run the camera and do 90% of the commentary. It would definitely help the channel.
Bottom paint is toxic. PPE required. Breathing the sanding dust is a no-no
Happy boat work. Also hot here in Burleigh and just finished undercoating the outside wall of the property, not too bad for a 72 yr old. Your not missing any surf here as its the devil wind (northerlies) onshore most days the norm for Sept-Dec less a few days.
I had a bootstripe on my boat that someone painted over with antifoul. I wanted to remove the paint from the stripe and used citristrip covered by a bit of thin plastic. It took about two to three rounds to get to the gelcoat. It SURE beat sanding it all off.
$100 to wet sand both sides, what a bargin.
Has to be better than the old lump of concrete 😂
Probably as good as your mums.
Oh Shit JOKING JOKING!!!! 😅
❤
Can you imagine living in a ground home forever? I'm 60 and my beautiful bestie Mother LaVerne is 82 We're going to travel by land. Trying to sell the home in Galveston. We got to get away from these hurricanes. Been there done that. Not doing it again.
We just got back in the water after 2 weeks on the hard in Langkawi. I definitely feel your pain!
Good luck,with your beautiful boat.🐬
I can sympathize with you bottom work is in my opinion the worst job on boats. In my day (yep I said it) we considered ourselves lucky when we got to use the big heavy air grinders with massive torque on the red lead paint. My dad could be on the thrifty side so he bought big zinc plates so I could cut them down into multiple pieces with a hacksaw. He wanted to know why it was taking so long so he gave it a go… he decided maybe it was time to buy the right ones 😂.
Your all truepers love Your shoes
In a much earlier episode, you were trying to get the adjustable keel to lower with no success. What have you discovered now that the boat is out of the water?
What happened to your old Catalpa? Still own it or sold? Just curious. Thank you for sharing your journey. Krystyna in Wisconsin
And so the “Off Season” Repairs/Refitting Begins😜 Glad ya folks got some “Air Con” for a Time👍 Continue to Stay Safe and Enjoy 😎
Hallout boat work 🥴. Stick with it. The boats looks great on the hard, but she is much more elegant sailing in the blue.
I feel for you guys working in the heat but hey I find it interesting and watching the big fella solve problems, it’s a beautiful boat and she will be better for a little tlc.
