Congrats on choosing your 5th wheel. Tough decision with so many choices. Sounds like a good deal. I watched this episode in our house near Tagaytay, Philippines. My wife is from metro Manila (QUEZON CITY). I was raised in Phoenix. Graduated from North Phoenix high school in 1970. Joined th U. S. Coast Guard and moved around for almost 29 years with them. Retired from the Guard in st Petersburg, fl where I met my wife. We have been together since 1998. I bought a Class A RV and drove it over 25,000 miles in 1999. Slept in 48 states. Hope you enjoy sailing our roads as much as the oceans. I got really tired of the boring freeways. Every exit seems to be the same. So, I opted to drive the 4 lane highways, and a lot of 2 lane roads. I felt like I saw more of the real U.S. not as fast, but a lot more scenic and different restaurants. So, magadan Gabi (?)
Another great video! After thinking about you visiting all the National Parks, I started realizing that there's really no other place on earth that you can travel in an RV except for North America and see such a wide variety of natural beauty in the National Parks that America and Canada have to offer. That's pretty cool. Your doing this round the world trip in style. Every cruiser should be doing America like your doing. Princess choice of going with a fifth wheel is a better choice in my opinion. Now you can park your fifth wheel and drive around during the day. It's also a much safer vehicle to drive than a motor home due to front wheel blow out. Now Princess can drive around while your flying. I've never traveled that way before but it would be nice to do it for one summer like your doing just to see all the National Parks.
With your needs a 5th wheel and truck are a good combo.

This channel is going sideways. Your focus is gone! All you need to see National Parks is a rental car and a tent or a motel/hotel, just like you did earlier this year. To take on all of that debt for depreciating assets, paying taxes, licenses, insurance, etc., it's absurd. If you really want to dig a hole for yourself, get a shovel and starting digging. You'll probably never sail again, that's for sure. RVs are for retired people with retirement income. You're still working. Or buy a 10 year old Chrysler Town and Country, take out the seats and you can camp in that. I've traveled the United States and the world (in comfort), more than I would care to brag, and the first rule is less is more. You are in a freefall of bad decisions.
