În ultimul episod ne-ai văzut traversând Golful Biscaya și îndreptându-ne spre Gijon. Ne-am luat câteva zile să ne odihnim și apoi am alunecat liniile pentru a ne îndrepta spre A Coruna, pentru a finaliza traversarea Golfului Biscaya. Ceea ce a început are o călătorie plăcută în condiții perfecte, care s-a terminat în curând cu un dezastru… După cum am ajuns să aflăm, navigația nu merge niciodată conform planului! Am ajuns să apelăm la primul nostru PAN-PAN la bordul navigației Indiana. La 5 ore de A Coruna, s-a întâmplat cel mai rău. Motorul nostru sau arborele de suspensie au început să scoată un zgomot oribil de scârțâit, neștiind dacă continuarea ar provoca daune ireparabile barca cu pânze, am decis să oprim motorul și să chem ajutor. La 10 mile de A Coruna, barca de salvare ne-a venit în ajutor, salvându-ne de cisternă mare și stânci terifiante. Deși ne simțeam triști și învinși pentru a fi remorcați în port, ne-am fost recunoscători și Indiana era în siguranță. Not a nice scenario, hope you got in ok, sounds like a cutless bearing event, couldve been some fishing gear entangled, sometimes worth putting her astern, sometimes clears it🤨

I would have made the same call. Running aground and getting a tow all part of the experience. Fair winds.

That's not good mite be. rope around your prop from a bloody lobster pot. I had to dive in and cut the rope on my boat the other year. But if its bad workmanship name and shame them. Theres to many cowboys engineers working on boats lately in the UK.

Wise decisions. Hope that you can find and fix the problem, and that the cost wasn't too depressing. I'm guessing close to shore is a huge saving on a tow?
If you're both glass-half-full-and-put-it-down-to experience people…then everything's looking OK. Safe and secure is the best place to be. Onwards & Upwards or 'Adelante y hacia arriba'

Not sure why Sailors don't install an 'Emergency-Outboard-Mount' on the Stern- but I HAVE ONE in the event my inboard Bukh Diesel fails and I need to use the Honda Long Shaft outboard.., CHEAPER than a tow!

It's always a good choice if made for reasons of safety! I hope the repair is not expensive and turns out to be something simple.
