You also made another important mistake: Knut Frostad was not the first Norwegian skipper on the first Norwegian boat. That was Peder Lunde on the Swan 57 Berge Viking about 8 years earlier. I happened to work a bit for him at the time.

Hey Alex, that was a great video. Very interesting footage of the boats. They seem like spaceships compared to our older sailboats. I cant stop drooling over that lovely wooden boat in the begging of the video…absolutely gorgeous.
Like you, I’ve been a fan of the ocean race for many years. Used to follow it when it was the Whitbread. About 15 years ago, I got to help sail the America 2 sailboat, which was the practice boat for Dennis Conner in the Americas cup. Then I watched all of the Volvo ocean race races. One of the greatest comebacks in sports history was when the Americans were down eight races to zero against the kiwis for the Americas cup, and they came back and won nine straight races in a row.
