Maybe in one of the upcoming videos you can explain bit more on why you choose the routing software that you use (Octopus??) vs what seems to be the default for most… Predict Wind.
Holly… You are too harsh on yourself. Like you said, your feeling is a normal feeling. I think it's just fine as long as you say it this way "it's a normal feelings but it's also irrational feeling"… Once you know that how you feel is also not rational… You can feel as much if it as you want till you won't feel it again…
Hi Holly, tough that you are having to motor. What is you ‘Med’ transitioning speed sailing vs motoring? Although I see it barely looks like sailing conditions at all.
A couple years ago a fleet left similar area for a RTW race with tough headwinds, one broke something and another went offshore towards the Morocco coast and tacked back to Gibraltar. The rest hugged the coasts , neither did better but the offshore boat had a way better sail.
You will be glad to get out of med!

Ha ha the only time you have to much fuel is when you’re on fire ! This is good advice.

It's only if you do nothing that you dont make mistakes.
I´m sure that dish is worth 1000s, but it likely still works. You cant just hide and do nothing. Life happens.

Holly, You are amazing, I listen to your podcast since the beginning and the stuff you have done is unreal, so don't feel that you have to do anything else. The idea of these vlogs is wonderful and I'm sure a lot of people are thinking the same. Asking for help should not make you feel inferior at all, it is a wise move.
Suggestion: Would be nice to have an insert of your speed and wind details while showing the sails, this can give us an idea of what your are feeling on the boat.

We crossed the Atlantic on last years ARC with half full fuel tanks on an Outremer 55. We lost our solar due to an electrical malfunction and burnt heaps of fuel to make electricity. In the end we stopped at Barbados to top up. The lesson was to have plenty of fuel for eventualities that you may not foresee. No wind, no solar etc.
