  1. Another great video! You all are killing it! So are we that follow and love your content called Loonatics? (I am sure it has been mentioned before, but Loonatics?) LOL Cheers all!

  2. So good to see Nina back. And please send her a message from us. When is she going to put out another video on her own YT channel? She is popular back home in Aus and clearly popular in the yachting industry too. Great video too!

  3. Those 2 yachts should get out of the way, looks like theyre asking for trouble. For sure I would try to get out of the way. Ahhh, you're not going that far, I wondered why it wasnt mentioned.

  4. I actually watched this docking one all the way through with no fast forwards, its so fascinating and such a great job done again, I just cant get enough. I would like more film of the other crew and what they do. Cant wait for the next blog.

  5. Collision avoidance is coming. A certain marine electronics company is working on an AI system similar to Tesla FSD. This will mean it will see and avoid vessels and all other obstructions including the bottom and will be capable of doing its own course planning. That means it will presumably interface with radar, sonar, AIS and visual/IR cameras as well as the chart plotter, it will take in information the same way a human does and react like a human.

  6. Wow, this is a treat!
It makes me happy, that the internet provides in-depth knowledge about rare and interesting events like superyacht docking.
Many thanks to the Loon team for providing us with such high quality content!

  7. Question: Have most of the large yachts dispensed with a traditional wheel with which to steer the ship, in favor of the "fly by wire" systems? I would think that a larger, traditional wheel would still have application in certain sailing conditions, no?

  8. Fab as usual. If age is no barrier, any room for an ex RN Chief Engineer age 60? I don't want to work, just be Blair's assistant and be senior taster of delicacies before it gets served up to the guests. Just to clinch my application, I have my own deck shoes and sleeping bag….. You guys are top notch.

  9. i know im late to the party but damn. that spirit yacht off your bow as you dropped anchor! and the other looks like a swan! take jetskis for extended coverage!. good to see the videos guys.

  10. Mount a 360 camera outboard of your controlling wing. Let us decide where to look. PS – head mounts don't work if you are moving you head a lot – causes nausea for me. Great Videos!!!!!

  11. Great video. Missed driving a boat from my academy days (half the size of Loon and not as advanced or pretty!!) Great to see Nina back; guess she had to come back early for Chef Dean!!! 😉 How do Yachties get "promoted"? I.e. what is the training to go from 4th Stew, 3rd Stew, and up; 2nd Officer to Chief Office; 2nd deckhand to Lead to Bosun, etc.
Blair, recommend a camera angle focusing on the ECDIS to see where on the chart you guys are heading and what the bigger picture is! But then again, I've a navigation nerd so take that with a grain of salt!!!

  12. We missed your live feed, however it was bloody fantastic there MY Loon team. Captain Paul thank you for your calmness and expertise. Can we see some of the instruments panels as a pop up, similar to what you have been doing. Thank you Blair for the wonderful videography such a pleasure to be part of your team. I would imagine that when you have paying guests on board you are limited with what you can do? Do you have occasions where the Charter guests don’t mind being in the shots? Can’t wait till your next live stream- Take care, be safe 🛳️👍😎💪

  13. When @superyacht1 captain used to dock MY AWOL he wore a go pro on his head. He did move a bunch but they switched the cameras so it wasn't always on his go pro.

  14. Enjoyed watching you guys coming into St Barts on AIS. Then came here to watch on camera. Thanks for the enjoyment. You are a great bunch of young people whom I wish all the best. Take Paul's advice and learn the business from the ground up. Ask him about the 10,000 hour rule. Become an expert in ?

  15. I love watching you manourvre Loon I to some beautiful places but please, no headcam. It creates a really strong sensation of motion sickness in the viewer – me! 😅

  16. Lucky to have Nina from "TheCrewChef" channel to not only make a cameo, but cook a pizza for you guys. I've watched her cook so many things, but I think I'm fondest of her buns.

  17. Captain Paul, I so…enjoy watching your videos, the young men and ladies in the galley, and the deck. You all seem so..very nice. Thank you for bringing us all on your adventures. Y’all are awesome.
