1. Looks great there, we’ve just had 60+ winds on the UK west coast. Would love to see a see a few stats to give context eg 24hrs run, avg speed, power situation with solar etc?❤

  2. Do you have a carbon fiber mast and standing rigging? or stainless and aluminum? Like anything, you can never have enough spares but I have seen/heard people carrying spare shifters/controllers because they are not often in stock in many marinas. Btw, I would recommend putting the tapes in ziplocs and/or heat seal. it will help the shelf life on the adhesive on the tapes. Especially if the tapes see high ambient temps often, even more important.

  3. Too bad about the sail but at least it can be repaired. Stephane is handling the situation better than I would be…lol
I’m so impressed with how you guys have had no sea sickness at all so far in this journey.
I’m curious as to what the sand does with the Orca’s?
    Another great video!

  4. Finally some smooth sailing (except for the ripped sail)!

I would go a few steps further with the labelling. A lot of the storage is under floor boards and thus not readily visible. I would have a database (perhaps simply an Excel sheet) with which items are in which locker, and in what quantities to know when it's time to re-order. As in "I was sure that we had an oil filter left!".

  5. I can’t figure how the sand would help with the ‚big dolphins‘ . (Insert the name one shouldn’t mention)😮
Annoy them while breathing? Sleeping sand?

To the labels: great, but make a sheet where you list all the stuff in alphabetical order and where it’s box is located. And then let Stephane look for something based on the sheet. I’ve just to organize a camper van but believe me I know what I’m talking about!😊

  6. I was the crew chief of a 1902 mph jet fighter. These aircraft are designed marking every item from the nose or bow every one foot aft and the clock location from the center of the craft. To find the destination of a wire from the circuit breaker place a number on the wire the distance from the bow and the second number is the location from the center of the boat to the destination. They make numbers into a band that go around the wire like a wedding band. Any place you see this number you know where it goes this way you don't need a wiring diagram.

  7. Great stuff Holly, Stephane and Jean Marc. As for label makers, you did it correct:white tape with black fonts. My label maker had clear tape and that did not work, looks better but no one can see it. -Greg

  8. Love the way Stephanie lights up when you mention sweets🍫 Good to get through Orcagate can uncross fingers, the cleat guards I’ve seen are two shaped widgets with bungee cord

  9. Great to see you escape the med and get some sailing!
You could switch out those bow cleats to the ones where the horns fold down , no parts to loose!
    Cheers Warren

  10. Humidity: If you have Air Conditioning, this is by far the best system for condensing humidity and expelling it from your boat. All, or almost all, modern Air Conditioning units have the Dehumidify function. Use it! It works very well.

I am a mechanical engineer and I have a specialization in Air Conditioning.

  11. Oh wow. It’s just awesome following along with you daily. Thanks so much. We are loving it…. pausing the vid, looking at details, discussing things, it’s so exciting. You’ve done beautiful vid captures and great tips and looks at details. One thing we said, and you probably know about them, is that we’ve seen cleats that fold down at either end in a sail protecting curve to the deck until you need it then it folds up. They look robust but are no doubt expensive and you already have cleats…. (just wanted to mention). Dolphins…. wonderful. I’ve often thought sailing channels might want to create a go-pro housing shaped like one of those pool toys…. They look like torpedoes or shark body form, glide in water and keep stable. Weighted and tied under the trampoline dragging along in the water it would get awesome video. Just an idle time project for you if you wanted to try something a bit insane. 🙂 Thanks again, we eagerly watch and appreciate these vids. If it ever becomes too much of a burden we would understand… but be very disappointed. 🙂 Fair winds.

  12. Hi Holly, you are right to speak about good boxes and labeled . WE DONE THE SAME. It is so terrible to forget where is the only thing you need at this time. And that’s a good safety system. Yes, too, that’s difficult to do that quickly on a new sailing boat. You have so many things to learn in a short time. 2 years later we are a little bit more “zen”. I find a tool in a few seconds. Sylvie, my wife is very surprised about that. Your spinnaker is very nice with a good design. Did you try to use it with the hull in the wind ? At the next video… sail nice and zen.

  14. Love these daily videos! The tips are great too. I like to number the bins with a code that describes the location and bin number. For example—storage birth/shelf number/bin number or salon/hatch number/bin number. Then create a spreadsheet on your phone for every bin on the boat and list what’s in each bin. When you need to find something, open the spreadsheet and search the item and it will tell you exactly where it is on the boat. Of course, that’s over the top ocd. 😂
