THE NIGHT DIVE WAS AMAZING!!! Nuggs makes new friends everywhere she goes. But how can you not just love that laughter and giggles. Looks like Nugget fell in love with Mrs Erica and Mr Warren. Erica from WE Sail seems to be an equal match for Sierras energy level, but then again I would so be entertained hanging with the Nuggs. I'll say it again, all of this cross pollination/collaboration between sailing channels is so cool.

Could be the injector pump pistons. Over time they get sticky. the pump isn't too complicated to take apart and clean. get a pic off the internet before you take it apart,

As much as boat work is the worst part of sailing, its my favorite part of this channel! Watching someone who knows their craft working is so satisfying.
About the only thing I can give any advice on is that Kubota genset engine, I have nearly the same model in a little tractor. Yes additives specific for cleaning diesel injectors can help rough running but it can take quite a long time of running, maybe 10~20 hours to have effect. Changing the injectors is a better approach although pretty expensive if you do OEM. Changing the topic, be very careful using UV lamps for viewing fluorescing objects, they can cause significant eye damage. The UV portion doing the damage is invisible. (A bit concerned if you were shining it towards Sierra) Those yellow filters are more for UV protection than for viewing pleasure.
Maybe an application of belt dressing every couple of months will keep those belts from drying rotting prematurely, etc.

When drive belts/chains/shafts go south, I always inspect what they're driving! Has what they're driving increased in resistance? Is it time to relubricate or replace some bearings? What about pistons or valves?
Real World: When my second alternator belt failed in three months, Dad said, "check the alternator for ease of motion." There was no ease of motion, so I replaced the fried bearings in the alternator. Walla! No more belt failures.
