Petrec o noapte magică (de un fel) ancorată în spatele insulei McNutts, care va fi punctul meu oficial de plecare pentru croaziera din Nova Scotia. A doua zi am plecat spre Carters Beach. Încep în ceață și vânt ușor, apoi am ploaie și vânt puternic, apoi curățare și vânt ușor, apoi ceață și vânt ușor, apoi ploaie și vânt puternic și, în final, curățare și vânt ușor. Oh Canada! 🇨🇦 A belated welcome!
I have been wodnering, how do you handle a double tailed mainsheet?
Confused seas, there must have been irregular coastline and or shoal waters. Riding in the trough in light air is not favorable.
Kevin, you're as fickle as the weather. First you say you prefer rain over fog. Then say lifting fog and beginning rain is bad news. Ah, the life of a sea going semi-hermit. Steady as she goes takes a new meaning.
Keep it up, please.
Love the hat! Any chance we may see you in the Bahamas this Spring?
Thanks, Kevin…
Love that sou’wester. You should let us know before you get to Nova Scotia next time. We will throw an open mic party just for you.
Welcome to Nova Scotia Kevin! Glad you were able to enjoy our lovely sailing conditions. Next time, let us know, I'll buy you a good Canadian beer.
Glad to see you exploring the South Shore. Familiar coast. Lots of great memories related to ducking in and out of those coves and harbours (and, yes, fog+rain+variable winds – especially in June/July!)
Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyed the touch of the strings at the end. I liked the base line. Carters is a fine patch of sand for us down east types, glad you got a glimpse. Happy Thanksgiving, US style given the date. Fair winds and following seas!
Kevin, would have loved to hear that bell of yours in those foggy conditions 😊
When you say 'this is a fun one,' ironically, do you have to sail to that beach you mentioned ?
Very nice main sail… She sets well…
That was wonderful video. Thank You for sharing the awesome sailing with us. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Good job!
Beautiful sailing! Thanks, fair winds
Beautiful part of the planet, nice show!!! Makes a guy want to go to his boat.
Great contrast there, challenging conditions to sunny calm, great finish
Thanks Kevin
Is your main new, or freshly washed? It really looks bright in this video.
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. Do you have a mast top vhf aerial and a second one on the stern?
Last time we were at Carters it was 96 deg F.
When looking at the glassy water of that last morning, I couldn't help but wonder what vision one must have to see the wind? Always a pleasure to see what you're up to.
Wow, sailing in Nova Scotia looks like quite the adventure! Your video truly captures the challenging yet beautiful conditions you encountered. From strong sou'westers to breathtaking scenery, it's clear that you're embracing it all with a positive attitude. Sending my best wishes from Jarle, and I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving, wherever you were. Oh Canada! 🇨🇦
