  1. There is an old naval trick to remember the length of chain you have out. There is also a standard colouring code for this. It goes like this: 'Rub Your Balls/Boobs With Grease' meaning Red Yellow Blue White Green.

  2. Me, sitting here seeing Ty wanting to rebuild the cabinet to stick the printer in, hoping he realizes that the filament spool goes on the back, so putting it in the cabinet would end up being a massive PITA.

  3. Nice work in this episode. I knew when you were coming down the ramp that you had a Bambu Lap 3D Printer. Then when your got it out of the box I knew it was the X1 Carbon series, which is the same printer sitting right next to me on my desk in our 42 foot Fifth Wheel full time home. It is by far my favorite 3D printer and I own 4 of them now, but we only have room for the X1C in our full time Fifth Wheel RV home. If you want any suggestions on what spare parts to have on hand, let me know and I’ll send you a list of highly recommended items to add to your supply list before you head out on the water. If you plan on printing a lot of PETG, PC, ASA or ABS you will definitely need the High Temp plate or a good PEI plate. I use Magigoo on the cold plate and it seems to work the best, plus the plate can be cleaned up with just water and an old credit card to easily scrape it off after it’s wet. I am learning to use Autodesk Fusion 360 for the 3D modeling, but that’s still a work in progress.
