  1. I love how resourceful you both are. Glad to see you are not a princess or a diva, you are a great role model for girls and young women everywhere.

Despite your limited resources and tools, you make a great job of just getting stuff done. I tend to be a bit too perfectionist and get bogged down, bad habit.

All the best in your travels, you really living a life worth living. Advice from an old guy, do all you can through your twenties and thirties while you have your health, vigor, flexibility and no children. Heartfelt best wishes to you.

  2. Ya’ll are so Great. Love watching the all the great projects and how amazing the community helps each other while on the hard. Keep it up and always stay positive & strong teammates. When do hit the Water ??? Stay Strong.

  3. A quick tip, when you need a shim for in between two tubes, you can use a cut up pop can to get a long thin strip of metal. I’ve used this several times on bike seat posts, and it would be a better, more permanent solution than tape.

  4. Clamp the item you want to cut to a bench or something and use both hands on grinder. . It is scary watching you cut stuff .
Especially the small stuff . Plus what about goggles !!! Health and safety over . Crack on.

  5. Great!Job you two. The Bimini is going to look so good. And Zac I felt the pain when you pinched yourself with the rivet tool if that's what it was. Once you did it my whole body shivered and I went cold "F***in"!!! OUCH!!! Once the jobs are done I know you'll feel and see the difference and feel of the boat. Looking forward to next weeks video

  6. That long thru hull on the Catamaran might be for the head. If you had a flush one (pun intended) the output would run all down the inside of that curve on the boat and beshit it. That’s my guess anyways,., get that TARDIS back in space guys! Hugs

  7. FYI, Onboard Lifestyle's Teal says whenever he bolts through a deck, particularly for a winch, he will always install a top plate for installation between the bottom of the winch and the deck and a bottom plate on the underside of the deck for the bolts to go through. The purpose is to spread out the stress of the bolts in the deck that is applied by the forces of the sails being held by the winch. 8. Oh man! I really felt that rivet gun nip. Been there, done that, also crawled around in circles for a minute or two entirely unable to yell the volley of curses that were exploding in my brain. 😂

Just a thought for the future; if you’ve got a stainless tube going in to a fitting and you’re riveting it, if it’s got any play it can tend to fret and it’ll get sloppier over time. If you rough up the bore and the male side with some abrasive or a file then glue it in with epoxy, riveting it before it cures, it makes for a much more solid fixture.

If you ever need to take it apart again just drill the rivet out and heat the joint area up to release the epoxy bond.

Hope that helps down the track, it’s a useful jointing technique on occasion.

Nice job, the bim looks great and it’s going to transform life aboard for you.
    Cheers, R. 😎👍🍻

  9. Next time cutting aluminum try using a hacksaw. Less mess and cleaner cut. Buy a roll of Butyl tape for waterproof sealing cleats and everything. Butyl tape never dries out and is ready for use. Never cracks or dries out so it remains water tight. No mess to clean up after tightening the screws down.

  11. Ah yes, so the "King Klik" riveter still lives on, that's very sad news. Lost my first chunk of skin to one of them in the mid 70's, I still remember how much it hurt! They can get you opening as well as closing too, a sort of double action if you like. Nasty things.
Love the channel, keep it up!

  12. It’s so great to see you both work on the boat together, you guys make an ace team.

All the hard work and improvements will make all the difference soon so although it might be somewhat daunting at present, you’ll be reaping the rewards in no time.

Great video as always guys 😊

  13. Hey guys great video! Just a warning for anyone watching this about cutting aluminium with a grinder, it can clog up and cause the blade to fracture big bang! I had a disk miss me by inches once apon a time! The solution to this is to use tallow on the cutting disc, or grinding discs to stop them clogging up! 😊

  14. that finger injury had to be throbbing for a couple of days. I am not a fan of hand injuries what so ever! Watching the two of you brings a bit of joy into the moment! I am wishing you continued happiness and good health!
