Just to be annoying, but you might want to check with your insurance whether you can drive your Defender bare foot. Here in NL your insurance will pull coverage if you drive barefoot or even on flip flops, because they do not offer you the same amount of control as shoes. And it would be annoying to find that out when you get in trouble. 😉

All I can say thank goodness all British Land Rovers are Hand Built because you can't do this to any other 4 wheel drive type. Be aware in a lot of countries driving barefoot is illegal. But in the UK any type of lose fitting footwear is also illegal especially flip flop types.
Was that a rotary rivet gun attachment you were using? I've never seen that type before.
