A black friend of mine from St John was saying to me once, that tourists just need to get with the program and slow down because it's island time and it's just the way it is. I responded that no, the islanders need to get with the program and justify having their jobs. People with definite vacation time limits, shouldn't be beholden to locals with poor productivity and integrity. In your case, customs, showing up to work around 1030 and taking lunch is unacceptable when people are lined up.

Great video! I'm sure you helped prevent some problems for people following in your footsteps. As a retired airline pilot I would add that it's always best to just figure out what you have to do to make the customs clearance process work and then go with the flow. I've had many a flight delayed because one of my flight attendants decided to argue about whether or not their apple in their food bag had the right sticker or not. As your pen borrowing drama shows they are sometimes quirky & power tripping people and others are fantastic! Btw, you two don't play when it comes to cooking. That lobster meal looked amazing!!
