  1. There's always some "clear" answer (opening washer door), like when I call my IT department and they ask, "is it plugged in?" Doh! So, don't feel embarrassed. I'm sure many of us would have done the same! I know it's just a small unit and won't hold a lot at once, but I look at the washer as the sort of item that improves quality of life it it helps one avoid lugging laundry around town! Just a lot of little loads to keep up with things 😊. I hope it helps!

  2. I would have made a cabinet, which acts as a pedestal, to support your washer so that the machine is not at floor level. The cabinet could have storage underneath and a fiddled shelf on top of the washer for a surface. Just a thought. I think your washer is basically in the right place and makes sense. My wishful thinking wants to see it off the floor so you do not have to bend for access. Best wishes from Montana !

  3. If a chemist (yes, I'm Australian) operated in such a cavalier fashion over here (in Austrayl-ya), he or she would face some serious jailable charges! No chemist would ever give you anything without a doctor's prescription. Preferably in the form an e-script, in other words, your doctor sends your prescription to your phone, you take that to the chemist where they will hold your phone in front of a reader, and it goes "click" and bob's your uncle. In fact, I don't need to go to my doctor every time, I can just ring him up and ask him to send me an e-script. Usually he'll give me one good for six prescriptions. After that I have to ring him again, or he will ask me to come in for a quick check-up. And I will find my new e-scripts in my phone before I even get home, or even before I walk out of the medical centre!

  4. There are many rules of thumb that u are neglecting. ( ALL ) hoses should be double clamped for safety reasons. It's not something made up . Hose clamps give out and some don't have the strength needed.

As for measurements in hose or fittings, there is ID & OD diameter. Your PVC fitting is 1/2 in diameter, where the OD may be 3/4 " . As your hose is 1/2 ID

As for "latex" tape , there is no reason not to use it. It should be used all the time no matter what,

  5. Instead of “rubber bits” to cover your deck bolts, just get a can of plastidip and coat them with a few layers. It’s thick and cushiony and designed to insulate and cushion tool handles.

  6. The washing machine brings a monster smile to my face. When my brother showed up on Canvey Island with our dishwasher, Roland and Francis went ballistic about Cats and weight. Bro said, “boys, we Yanks ain’t all about camping out”.

The water maker and washing machine would make bro happy.

Have you decided where to install the water maker?

Thanks for cutting off those bolts, I imagined holes in my head caused by them.

You guys are doing great, your smiles are well deserved.

  7. At first i thought your installing a dishwasher there ( stupid place for a dishwasher ) but now i see its a clothes washer and now thinking good spot ! sorry my bad for thinking your a couple of nim rods ! lol. Who else would put a dishwasher in the living room then someone in a pink boat ! lmao !

  8. Build a coffee table over the washing machine 😉 hold the end of the hose in a cup of boiled water, the heat will soften the hose so it will stretch. Sometimes it helps if you put a little sika on the male side to work as lube then when it dries it's extra seal

  9. Love how you’re doing it. It easy for another say they do it differently. But you’re doing it. Education is life’s experience. Remember above most Mother Nature may not be so mother some. Keep it clean so it may not bite you.

  10. I really enjoy watching your adventure taking shape. I love that you take challenges in your stride and still smile. I miss living on a boat and have wonderful memories. You have one up on me I never had a washing machine – luxury. Best wishes to you both. Stay safe.

  11. Hi guys, wow you’re going to save a lot of money by having a washing machine. At least you can do it when you want to as long as you got the water. Keep up the good work. Love your videos keep those smiles on your face , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🧑🏾‍🦽

  12. The washing machine seems heavy. Some machines have weights in them to hold them in place while spinning. You might be able to remove any weights inside and bolt the machine to the hull.
