Lovely looking boat from the outside but I think the interior really let's it down. I had hoped we had moved beyond Ikea style interiors.
Great tour Nick… Is there any sort of bimini or shade option for the cockpit?
I like this one. I’d have the 3rd cabin as an office/shop.
Hey Nick nice to see a sailing yacht on the channel great to mix it up ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sensible! The prices are insane for all new boats, but this has a price that is one the saner side of insanity for what you get. 🙂
There are people crazy enough to take that sailboat and try to sail across the Atlantic with that tiny fridge and freezer and then the really crazy ones that would try to go across the Pacific. I'm not saying it couldn't be done, with plug in coolers/freezers, fishing along the way, canned goods, MRE's and of course sheer pluck, determination and skill would factor in there as well. But the ever evolving mythos of 1 or 2 people crossing the wide Oceans in a small sailboat is usually ill advised for most people. However, if you were going to try it, a Beneteau would probably be your best choice. I'm sure others would work too, but go with a name you trust.
I like the aft helm/cockpit layout
Very nice yacht. Thank you Nick.
Great review Nick. What's happening with your boat?
Beautiful 👍
I know many serious sailors who like this type of boat and even have them as liveaboards. Not my style but it's certainly nice to see a change of yacht types.
Perfectly capable of keeping you out on the water for a long weekend. Thanks for the tour!
300k is insane for a 37 footer.
Thanks for the tour Nick. Cheap and nasty but, saying that, I have an apartment full of IKEA sh#t myself: not one piece of real wood on this boat. This sailboat however, like someone else said, does the job.
Wow! you chased that man off the boat by coming out of the interior.
My grandfather used to have a Frers 36 built in the 80s. With how much wider boats are these days, the amount of additional interior space you get is absolutely wild.
Beneteau should sponsor Nick and let him "borrow" a nice sports cruiser 🙂
Nice to see you reviewing sailing yachts. This would make a nice family boat. I like the light interior and the galley layout. Pretty yacht!
These boats are a pain to sail, only an auto pilot can keep them pointed straight, look at Sailboat data and see the low comfort ratio, might be ok at anchor, maybe should just stay at anchor
Gracias!!!❤
Hi Nick, And thank you for this nice show of this new Beneteau Oceanis 37 1 Its always nice to see a sail boat on your channel occasionally I like that so also this Beneteau with those flush hatchs the open cockpit, but always the space below is great in this one with 3 cakins one head and this time the galley in the middle of the salon Thanks again Nick thats a nice one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the actual boat we are thinking of buying!
Thanks for the perfectly timed review, Nick!
Could you sail her across the open seas? Or to small?
Nice affordable sailing yacht. I'll bet they sell a lot of those 😀Thanks 😊
Ridiculous to have the lines bought back aft and exposed in this way, who designed that 🥴
Nick, unfortunately several things which you were trying to point out were out of shot. Time to recalibrate the grey matter <=> GoPro interface 😀 I always appreciate your tours, but that looks like a rather cheap construction and fit out for £300K.
How in the world do they get away without backstays?!!! Beautiful yacht thanks Nick!
Great value for money! Nice nice
Geezuz m8…lol…no like? Just switch off spare us the BLAH BLAH BLAH…ME ME ME
Fantastic sailing yacht Indeed.
Looks great and clean/slick
Thanks for the Tour Nick
That's a very big yacht for 37 feet! Not sure how I feel about the lack of backstay, and a bit unusual without the main mast traveller being further aft but i guess this is pitched more as a day/weekend boat rather than a longer term liveaboard/blue water yacht
❤
These are my favorites – well-designed sub-40 foot yachts. Thanks for the excellent video Nick! This was a rough week, and the tour was just what I needed.
Don't know if such a thing exists, but think about having that center cocktail table in the open cockpit being able to cant and keep vertical. So much time one is spent on list.
Simple and effective yacht!
Hi Nick – would it be too much to ask that you perhaps do a little video on the best places to go boating within reasonable distance from where you are based please? Or within reasonable distance from The Solent or Portsmouth Harbour or perhaps Brighton? I am considering a weekender cabin very soon based on Portsmouth Harbour and am ‘convincing’ my wife of the merits of a boaty life, I am sure for you have already navigated to many interesting places in this area…. Most grateful, Andrew.
Ifthe two Cabin twohead layout didn't have the linear galley, I'd actually be interested in this, but only if the Yanmar was direct Drive, and not a Yanmar Saildrive (frankly the Yanmar Saildrives suck below 80 hp, when you can opt for the far Superior ZF Saildrive, which is as good as the Volvo Saildrive) but Ive been slammed on my ears too often with Linear galleys to ever tolerate having one myself tbh, you just have to be able to wedge yourself into a Galley securely. Some of the larber Beneteau Oceanis models do get it Right though Nick, so I'll be considering one of those for my tide me over Sailboat to get me back Afloat with, until I can get a Customised Island Packet IP 439 built. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you Nick, and the same to all of your Subscribers. Keep up the great Work. Bob. 🎄🎄🎄🧑🎄🧑🎄🧑🎄❤️❤️❤️
The cockpit area is wonderful.
Far bigger than yachts of old
The drop down transom is a
lovely feature.
The interior is just cheap and nasty. A sign of our throwaway society and unlikely to stand up to marine use.
Most modern boat interiors seem to look like caravans inside…what a shame. IMO my 2016 Jeanneau DS looks far more like a proper yacht inside!
I can't believe this is 300.000? Is that price correct?
Not impressed by that. Like budget RV'ing
