  1. So I have been struggling with what to comment for quite awhile now. I have followed since episode like 12 and something I think might be being missed is that the FIRST video of this refit was over 8 months ago. Viewers are frustrated because this refit was framed as you guys going hard and knocking this out and continuing the adventure. Then days became weeks became months became over half a year for just tear down which has not been finished. We arent trying to rush you and maybe it was communication. Had you said you would only do a week of work a month or that there were multiple events that would interfere with boat building we would understand. You could have included the small parts of work spliced in with the days of fun. But as time has gone on it seemed like NO boat work. Even in this video you referenced the ultrasound and that video was three months ago and you refer to it like it was yesterday. As a viewer its confusing and we are worried. We want you guys to succeed and we have seen you rebuild Uma once before. Alot of us joined when you refit for those moments. We are all so excited to see what you guys will come up with because on Youtube Uma has always been the most modern looking and you guys seem to really push what boats are capable of. My advice is jsut edit a tiny bit different. If next week is not boat work say so, if its 50/50 then mention what you did maybe include a small 1 minute clip of ripping out a table top, and if its full boat work say hey last week we ripped a table that was here out and now we are doing this this week. You guys are the reason I want to not only sail one day but live on a boat. I thank you for every video you inspire and have started dreams for people. Thank you for the videos.

  2. I missed quite a few videos. Not sure why. But why such a devastating boat project? I feel it is extremely risky for you guys. Are you not afraid it could break you up? Just the thought makes me sad. All, truly all the best for you. ❤

  3. Of course we want to see more! Back to the roots! Now it's just like when I started following you and you ripped out a bunch and started building. Now only with more knowledge 💕😄😀

  4. Love watching your videos and the way you tackle everything, from hectic work days to relaxing days off. The quality of your videos are a pleasure to watch, thank you for sharing them.

  5. You know that guy who said he wanted more boat content and the episode previous to this one was his last one and he was leaving. Well all I have to say is 😂😂🎉🎉

  6. The original fit out of UMA is what got me into the channel but the quality of the videos themselves as you embraced the lifestyle after that is what kept me hooked. I don't really care if your "adventures" are on the water, on land or whether you used a boat or a 4×4 to get to there. It's the climbing, hiking, exploring with your wonderful filming skills that I really enjoy.

  7. Keep your boat refit vids coming, I need as much help with my refit as poss, and can always pick up tips be they good or bad Cheers and good luck

  8. I’ve been refitting my boat for a few years….battery upgrade, auto pilot, refrigeration…..etc. I enjoy seeing your improvements because it gives me ideas on other ways of doing things. Thank you

  9. I was wondering what had happened to Uma. I was beginning to think she'd been put on the back burner. Would it be such a bad idea to get some help to move the renovations along a bit so you can get back to sailing ? Looks like a mammoth job. Very educational though; as a complete novice when it comes to boats I'm amazed just how much gadgetry etc there is. Full of admiration for your hard work 😊

  10. We love the non-sexy, boring boatwork! That's like therapi to watch and U are the best at it. Always love your editing but it's also something nice in long sequences, slow watching. We like the satisfying grinding. Don't undermine yourself and your work, your'e GREAT as U are⭐💛

  11. Thanks for Uma update. You are very skilled boat builders and it is especially that and the solutions you come up with that make me watch episode after episode.

  12. Boat works are the most interesting to watch!!! I'm watching this channel for a long time and still remember the episodes when you shared how you bought the boat and all restoration works you've done. Then I also liked your siling and travelling videos, but after some time I slightly lost my interest. And now, for a few months I'm back waiting for the new episode and watching it right after I notice it!!! There's everything in such episodes: hard work, struggle, uncertainty, hope… 💪
Also everyone who has ever done any house, car, or boat project… they knows that it takes much longer than initially expected / planned 🤪 So no pressure, just keep doing and recording your great work!

  13. TBH I prefer boat work videos to the "hey look at the great time we're having" type, so as far as I'm concerned you can repeat the recipe for this video every week 👍

As for the project itself – how do you intend to ensure that the hull is kept to the right shape? Considering that you're building it in the water and not in a mold, and also that a major reason for the project in the first place was because Uma wasn't keeping in shape, it seems like an interesting consideration to tackle. I'm guessing you'll be getting to explaining that in due course but some of us are impatient😁.

  14. one thing leads to another .. 79 years old and still just about flexible enough to do my own car servicing .. the oil and filter change / service revealed a cracked and past sell by date serpentine drive belt .. that led to a inner wheel arch repair , Hot melting the split plastic liner back together using a soldering iron and plastic cable ties as the melted filler . SO a 15 minute job ended up being an all day slog … enjoy your flexibility while you can .Love your hands on videos . stay strong .and enthusiastic .

  15. Enjoyed this episode, it is good to see the detail. I have to say, the more you remove the more I wonder about how you will methodically go about putting the infrastructure back in place and finish the interior. Would love to see a video on the planning and sequencing of the build. Love this channel, I never miss an episode, you two are great partners and a wonderful team!

  16. Please more boat work! Even if it’s small stuff like this. This is what brought me to Uma all those years ago in step 1!

  17. I really love this kind of video. It's understandable that filming stuff like this makes it extra tedious, but it is actually interesting. I am along your journey more for the little things than any big stories. Please take us along for more of this!

  18. Your progress is not slow. It took me 10 years to get my 35 footer to a nice shape. Worked on it in the winter and sailed in the summer. And that boat was in waaay better shape from the start than yours. If you havent got your hands on UMA im sure that she would be scrapped. I think its good that you try to show how much time(and money) it takes to do this. For most people its better to buy a boat in better shape. I really enjoy your boat work videos. The skill level has increased for sure.

  19. Oddly enough I enjoy watching you and Kika doing boat work, you both have a great knack for making it interesting. I'm hoping one day to be refitting a boat of my own and would be interested in the expected cost. All the best and keep up the good work
