5. 8:00 the erosion of the soft sandstone is caused by the too hard mortar used in the pointing – as the mortar dries it shrinks and when rain gets between it and the stone it can freeze during the winter and the stone being the weaker breaks off – little by little the stone gets hollowed out. Never use mortar that's harder than the stone, brick etc that you're pointing people. Best to use Lime mortar.

10. Why do you purposefully upload in 1080p, when YouTube absolutely BUTCHER the quality because of the premium choice? The videos look really bad quality wise, and has been for a long while now – because of this. If you upload in 1440p (even though if you don't record in 1440p), there will be a much lesser quality loss. It looks REALLY bad right now, and like I said before, it has been looking really bad for a while.

19. I was born only three miles away from that cape , and to me that was cape of dreams. It was of limits during monist regime. I now live in Brooklyn dreaming that one day will be sailing this waters on my sailboat one day. Thank you Sam for your excellent sailing videos.

Hi sam…i sailed every where all along the coast of Albania 25 years ago..of course i recognise all the places, things have changed since then,as far as I know l was the first sailing boat ever to sail that coast after the fall of the comunist..if you come to the north of adriatic and spend the winter there write me..i can give you lots of useful information and take you out of lunch… maurizio

21. Albania was the worst place to sail, we had a small bay in Vlöre and there was a power outage at 2 am when we arrived for like an hour.
    Fireworks randomly went off at 3 am, everything smelled like a waste facility. The worst of all, there were flesh eating flies and they bite through your skin making you bleed.
    Hope you have a better time :p

22. You need more charge sources. Square solar panels store below deck better than long ones. Flex panels break often. Small windmills are not cheap. Check to see if your batteries are discharging all by themselves. Lead batteries in parallel are a disaster.

30. Sam. Albania's waters are overfished. No catch limit, size, season whatsoever. It's a sin to release the smallest fry back into the water. The castle at Kepi i Rodon-it is a Venetian military outpost for controlling contraband merchant ships trying to offload goods without clearing customs in Drisht (up north). There are several of those along the coast. From Lezha down south. Even the castle of Kruja is Venetian military outpost too, for the same purpose. Back then, Venetians used to lit big bonfires to warn coming ships and communicate with each other. Yet. If I knew ahead in time you were coming in Albania, we could have arranged to meet somewhere in Vlore or in Durres as I am your follower. A lunch together would have been something special. Certainly you the guest. Cheers.
