6. The leak was the real problem, not the bilge pump. The pump was a secondary problem. Also, there should have been a backup emergency backup pump. Who built this yacht ?

32. I have rarely witnessed any power boat, or sailor, without a bilge pump(s).
    As commented already, "who built this hull?"
    A boat, craft, whatever of these dimensions would have trouble clearing a U.S. Coast Guard inspection and certification with less than a half dozen bilge pumps.
