I thought (especially) on a big boat like Blue you'd have a surge protector / power conditioner / or something to deal with (or warn you) of bad shore power. So glad you're back!! I tell you, I would have 50 rat traps all over the boat, so frustrating hearing chewing all night – had one in my RV once – so frustrating!
Sorry the kitty didn’t work out, but not using the litterbox is certainly not acceptable. Being on a moving, albeit large boat, obviously wasn’t her cup of tea. In regards to the mouse issue, you might have better luck getting an adult cat that has spent time living outside and is a proven hunter. I don’t have a mouse issue, but my cat is very prey driven, a bug doesn’t stand a chance in his house, lol. Out of a dead sleep, he can hear one across the room and he doesn’t give up until he’s flushed it out and given me a chance to give it a trip down the toilet 😂! Are your fridges working on shore power at the new marina? Good luck finding a solution with the mouse as well as your mechanical/electrical issues 🙏🏻! Love your attitudes and sense of humor even in the face of adversity 🥰!
Cats are great & unique but ya some females are touchy?? Thought about a rat terrior dog ? What a nice day cruise on the water & it would be scary if the fishers are long lining. Who knows what could get caught on keel. The people seem great too, always loved the music and ambiance of mexico!
Nothing to drive you more crazeee than a bilge rat.
You shouldn’t use animals and then discard them when it’s inconvenient. Kittens require training like any other young pet. Shame on you 👎🏻

I had rats in my apartment the only thing that worked for me is the sticky pads they run across them and get stuck. They won't go near rat traps . It my sound cruel but they tore up a bunch of stuff in my apartment. Good luck.

I think my comment didn't make it because I included a link, but you might consider looking into a smartplug for the shore power. Reviews of those are very positive on their ability to protect your boat from power spikes and other power related issues. Great episode and soook sorry to hear about your rat issue, that sounds maddening! Your positivity is encouraging, love watching what you're doing! Still hope you can make it into the Caribbean some day!
