  1. You are not supposed to have banana's on the boat I thought. 😅 Throw them overboard ! Those birds look like finches, I think you are their only ticket back to shore. 🤣

  2. hi. great video. I noticed you have a bungee cord attached to the rudder. It alone acts as an autopilot in my book.:) nevertheless, it would be an interesting content to show us how your rudder post is cabled to the Mark 3, in my opinion.

  3. Okay… the "slate-colored one" is Dark-eyed Junco, subspecies is Slate-colored Junco. Second one I can't figure out. What a coincidence as Cape May which you're near is a major bird research area!
Safe sailing and thanks for the updates.

  4. The ropes that fix your multi part main sheet to the boom are obviously well attached with what look like bowlines however the free ends beyond the knots seem to be fraying with the core of the rope poking out in places. Is this a permanent fix or are you going to tidy them up ? Please forgive me if I am mistaken but I have spent quite a bit of time squinting at the attachments.

  5. Easily waterproof your mast. Extent the tube, that reaches down into the sole, from a few inches to a foot, above the top of the cabin. Measure, and mark the mast where it comes out. Make an inverted cone that will fit snug over the tube, and seal the top of it to the mast with Marine Tex?

  6. This might be the tidiest sailboat cabin I've seen anywhere. Testifies to the professionalism of the skipper. And sailing well in the conditions, everything in balance. Great respect!

  7. I worry about you cracking your head on those bulkheads during nasty weather. Do you have a helmet as part of your heavy weather gear? I think the bird is a black eyed Junco but I'm not 100%. I'm in love with the junk sails, they're beautiful and practical.

  8. A few years back my sister and her husband Jeannie and Jim Lea from Charlottetown were crossing Buzzards Bay and ended up with a bird which I thought was a Fly Catcher, Olive color. They took it ashore when they landed. You need a bird book….

  9. Would you call this sail type a “dipping lugger “
? I’m not an expert, it I’ve been playing with this sail format and yours looks like you’ve already accomplished it! How did you get the mast to be stayless?

  10. May wore a cape, but at 17, when she started to pick out furniture, I got headed towards the Atlantic with the wind on my back. Goodbye Cape May. !!!!! Ray is forging a new adventure as you.

  11. Glad to see WR passing new tests with flying colours, and able to keep up a very decent speed! Can you please remind me what your stove is, I would be interested in a double burner of the same, but I believe they're no longer on the market, I'm wondering if they can still be got in 'developing' countries? Off to see I can track you down in real time!

  12. Wave Rover chili….a very interesting dish Alan but nutritious and filling. I can see a Wave Rover Provisioning and Cookbook in the future. How to stay alive on the high seas!
