  1. Great Vlog and nice to see you had a lovely relaxing voyage, it was good to see you guys happy and smiling even when you were sorting out the Spinnaker.Enjoy St Helena and am looking forward to your crossing to the Caribbean.Fair Winds.

  2. A great episode which shows why I think you are the best sailing channel on youtube. You manage to capture the essense of sailing, especially the long crossings. You give the sailing content the necessary space and the right timing, as this kind of sailing isn't fast paced action. On top of that, great music. A lot of your tracks are now amongst my favorites in my playlists. Of course, it doesn't hurt a bit that your Outremer 55 is one of the nicest catamarans on the market 🙂

  3. We always fly the asymmetrical spinnaker off the bow eye on the one hull never with the tack in the centre. We fly it on a 1,5m line with a tylaska shackle that you can release on the line to the tack. This floats better especially at deep angles. When we fly the spinnaker like this we run the autopilot on compass not wind angle. When we left Namibia 2 years ago we flew the Asymmetrical spinnaker from 2 days out all the way to St Helena. There were times near midnight the apparent wind was too low to keep it flying so we would sock the sail and motor for a few hours then at about 5 am it was good enough to raise again. We left St Helena on the Asymmetrical spinnaker again all the way to Fernando de Noronha. My favourite sail for sure

  4. Very good video. 👍👍😀😀😘😘 is it an option to reef the mainsail or take it down altogether when you fly the spinnaker?? You would get more pressure and stability in the spinnaker and even a better course stability

  5. Beautiful footage! Once again clear that no matter how much you enjoy the days, you can’t slack in attention. Marijke’s creative solution 👍 happy sailing regards from one of the 4% real Dutchies in Holland (with 80% SA blood😂) looking forward to the next upload. I sometimes watch them twice🤭).
