Thanks Pip for cleaning up a beach one piece of plastic a time! And awesome work for the boys on the fin-box build … if that ain't hands-on home schooling !
Nice repair ~
Eleuthera has changed so much. Wow!! Back when I crewed for my gramps these islands saw few tourists and the economy was almost entirely dependent on the growing of pineapples. My second visit coincided with the Commonwealth country's Independence and it was obvious that the administration was encouraging US investment from tourist companies. My sons played beach cricket with local boys during our last sailing to the islands in the 90s. I imagine it's all baseball now, following the development of US bases on the main island. Moorings are clearly far better today too.
Not one word about Glass Window Bridge, the Blush pink sand, or the 1897 Haynes Library that you climbed on, walked on and past. I'm so disappointed.
Should Archie really be holding a knife so close to his chest? Great vlogs!
Good on ya to show the fun a family can have on this earth with so much water to play in!
Spanish Wells is my favorite because the people but Eleuthera is a close second just more tranquil due to the lack of good anchorage’s year round without being able to easily get to the reefs on the Atlantic side as much.
It is what it is so beautiful.
Thanks
I love Eluethra. I was there about 30 years ago. Enjoy! I stayed that club med. It had an amazing kids club..it was a hurricane that took it out.
Yeah, sad– too much trash, too few crabs on that first beach. I'm sure you'll do your part; Pippi sure did. Abandoned ruins are always fun. Them hogfish aren't pretty but I hear they're tasty? And the rite of passage on a tropical island: the challenge of getting your coconut open.
Have you heard about "the Ocean Cleanup Project" that have a cool YT channel. Neat learning about garbage cleanup in the ocean and waterways
