I think I understand the ovals cut into the second side to the daggerboard as giving access for the welding from the outside, but I would like to see a discussion of how the second side is welded on and faired.

its a good idea to make provision to have small hoses run to the bottom of the dagger boards, rudders and other hard to get at cavities so you can check for and remove water.
I don’t understand the project tbh as I know so many yachtsman and woman that have sailed the world without engines and totally off the grid back as far as the 70s so not sure why this challenge is a challenge, can someone explain ?
