  1. Progress is progress no matter how slow it seems. Just keep going, one step at a time. Love the painting Marina, cabin is going to look beautiful once the sanded panels are put back. Happy days ❤❤❤

  2. I like listen to your work and listen to your words as you show us and talk together and talk to us. I am impressed by your skill and your Christianity together and to us. I like the easy going ways you both share.

  3. The cabins looking great and yes you must get rid of all the mouldy stuff especially if you’re sleeping in that cabin , mould is a health hazard so take care , nice to see the engine is almost finished and looking great , it was a good video , well I enjoyed it Thanks M , 👏Graham

  4. I would most definitely mount the stanchions/pulpit on 1/2 to 3/4 inch blocks (mahogany available from second hand furniture shop ie: and old side board), this gets the stanchion Mount off the deck where any spray/rain is going to be ~

  5. The aft cabin is going to look fantastic when it is finished. Originally I thought that white would be the best colour but I was wrong, the colour you picked was perfect. I am impressed with the amount of work you have done.

  6. Hello again you two! Another totally interesting video. It is always good to see your next video no matter what you are doing, because your work is always improving your boat. I hope you get all those cracks in the little engine room floor holes all sealed up so you never get water down into the keel again. Ok, looking forward to next weeks video. I really like listening to you both talk about what you're doing. Ok, take good care. Ciao geo ps Marina take your medicine so you get better.

  7. Hello Stu/Marina. Nice job with the engine room. That's a very important job to do. I hope Marina is feeling better. She seems in good spirits. The engine is nearly there. It's looking good and healthy. Anyway, keep up the great work and stay safe and healthy. God bless till next week 🙏 🙏🫡🇨🇮

  8. Excellent progress. Great to see you using full protection and facemark with all that dust. Take heart, at least you are grinding at the right time of year temperature wise.

  9. if you want a nicer finish on your paint after you have sanded use a filler for all the low imperfections than sand again, then primer than paint thats how you get a nice finish..BTW I' think you both have made good progress I see huge progress since you've started.. cheers.

  10. Good on you you legends. Loving the honesty. Good on you stu for getting into the terrible jobs mate. Cabin looking good- keep it up! Look forward to a vid where you’re hoisting sails!

  11. I'm relatively new to your channel so I come a little naive to your project. However, I think that I have watched enough of your excellent videos to be cheeky enough to make a few suggestions for you to consider.

Boat restoration projects are a massive commitment of your time and not so importantly, your money! I am hoping that since I am writing this as a 74 man nearing the end of my earthly lease that I may offer a little perspective from the other end of life's journey.

I have rated time as our most precious resource. It runs in one direction only, from beginning to end and no negotiations will be entered into! Tough terms and if I had any say in the matter I would definitely go for a better deal! But, it is what it is so let's get the best we can with what we have!
Now, about the boat. Since I have identified our time as the most perishable of our assets were I to embark on a project such as yours it would be foremost in my considerations in determining a value to yourselves of the tasks to come. I suggest that a practical way of judging the particular worth of any given problem with its solution could be an assessment of the minimum effort required to achieve the desired standard of outcome. I think I would be content with the minimum standard necessary to perform as necessary. I tend to think of 'perfection' as to be the outcome aspired to though not without regard to the other aforesaid factors .

So, what's next? How about we take a look at that bilge under the engine? Does it really matter if the finish on the paint is a little rough in places where it will never be seen by anyone….
except possibly the unfortunate engineer who drops his or hers favourite tool down there sometime!
I hope that perhaps I might have given you something useful to you as you work towards your goal! I will be following you both!

  12. Paint looks great, so fresh and clean. Nice progress this week. Seems the energy level is high, which is hard to keep up on a long project like this. Looking forward to each new episode!❤

  13. Never be sorry about the videos. These are great to have it almost live is much better than other channels that are months behind in their videos.
Keep up the great work. The painting looks very good.

  14. Great progress, keep at it! Great to see old dream boats getting a new lease of life. Reuse, recycle, restore which shows great respect for the planet’s finite resources. SkipRay, Kerry.

  15. In the US there is a spray on product called “easy off oven cleaner” . Its intended use is for cleaning ovens. It is essentially spray lye. Very caustic, but it strips paint and grunge off grp/fiber-glass like a charm.

  16. I watched all the Seabird restoration episodes in 8 days and I'm very impressed with what you have accomplished. I've learned a lot I plan to use in our own boat restoration (much smaller than yours, only 26ft), and I can't wait to see Seabird sailing soon!! Great job guys and keep the episodes coming! Following from Sydney, Australia.
