  1. Thank you so much for encouragement about the music. It just fills my heart with joy to be back playing again. Balance is definitely getting restored in our lives. If you're interested in hearing this song again, I'd be honoured if you searched for it on whatever streaming platform you usually use. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, whatever. The title is "Dance Me" and the artist is "Maya Eliza." Or, if you use Spotify, you can just click this link: https://open.spotify.com/track/0XElshUmZNSe1EfHWfhMr8?si=b1a43980bb5d4786

  2. The boat is getting along nicely. One day she will be an eyecatcher. And Maya, loved Dance Me. As a guitarist I did try to compose music and the comments were: "It's Gaelic". I feel the same about your music. Luve it!

  3. I love watching this channel but whenever I do I want to shout out to them: stop with the small details and look at the big picture. This boat is absolutely the wrong one for your plans. For various reasons, but mainly because of the lack of stowage/living space. You are sacrificing practicality for incredible beauty. It feels good now, but it will have dire consequences at sea.

Do you really think you will care about the look of the clearcoat and the height of the waterline when you have sunburn, bad drinking water, food is running out, the diesel is dirty, you have slept badly for days and the UV is cracking the deck while thunderstorms are approaching?
But mostly, this boat doesn't even have the space of a modern 32-footer. Imagine having guests on board. On a modern 32-footer they have an enclosed aft cabin. With you, they will sleep where you will sit during the day. They will have to put the bed away every day, but there will be no storage space for it. If they have to go to the loo in the middle of the night, they'll be sitting 5 inches away from your cushions.

If I were you, I would finish the boat and sell it for good money to someone who appreciates the quality and beauty and use it as a weekend/holiday cruiser. I would use the money to buy an older 38-foot HR, Moody, Contest, etc. There are 2 enclosed cabins, much more storage space, much greater daily distances, much less maintenance work. Do you remember Laura Decker? She sailed around the world on a Gin Fizz – really not a quality boat and not a beauty but I'd take that over a Cape George any day to live on…

  4. Thanks for sharing your journey every week. I like the way of your storytelling a lot, no drama (not more than necessary) and beautiful music. I appreciate beauty of boat building you both are showing a lot. Thanks!

  5. Good work Aladino You always seems to know what to do in any job. But (there’s always a butt isn’t there) I was just thinking if You have considered using the space behind those cockpit coamings? You could put a “lit” on the area to be able to sit “out there” and small compartments could be made for stuff You don’t want to lose when the boat is rolling. I know it’s a bit of extra work and it can wait but by doing it now it could be painted with the rest of the cockpit.

  6. Brings joy to my day to see your smiling faces work on your future home and so appreciate the extra bonus of the violin being a part of the project again. AMAZING ❤

  7. Great to see this beautiful boat coming back to life with such care. My sailing life has been on boats without the warmth of woodwork as much as yours but the sailing part I have loved just as much. Keep up the good work and hope to see you sailing soon!

  8. I really like how things are coming together. You both are doing a great job. I have learned a lot about how epoxy works and is applied. I'm going to use total boat epoxy on my boat project. Thank you both & keep up the great work.

  9. Lovely work, as always, Maya and Dino. And so good to hear you say (sort of), that "old" isn't necessarily bad. Coming from an "old man" . . .

  10. Great attention to detail producing quality results – still can't wait until the launch and the further adventures. 🙂

  11. Beautiful music Maya. When you said “now back to boat stuff” it occurred to me that music is boat stuff. You’re going to carry your beautiful music with you to far lands and across vast seas. Remember that your music is the very life of the boat. Happy sailing!

  12. Love the excellent craftsmanship in a world that just bangs stuff out. There's no other way to achieve such warmth and beauty. The same thing is true of Maya's music which I love as much as the craftsmanship. So beautiful! Thank you!

  13. Thanks again for a beautiful video! I really liked this song, but can't find it on Youtube Music. I only see your EP "An Isolated Effort".

  14. The beauty of each step of MC's restoration is beyond description in words…she just grows in magnificence each day…I cannot begin to comprehend your love and pride in this monumental endeavor. You both deserve to accept all accolades for believing in and achieving the dream you set out to make happen. I am in awe of you both and have been blessed to have found your channel. I hope to experience the culmination of this dream with you when she is launched and your new dreams begin ❤…God's blessing be with you. Mary Claesson

  15. Really nice to see you both much happier. Indeed a rare and beautiful thing today. You are really a breath of fresh air. Thank you. Oh and the music wonderfull.
Your's from across the pond UK
    Ken

  16. Great video you guys….starting to look like there is an end in site….beautiful workmanship every where….Maya it's nice to see you back in the groove again …Thank You

  17. I'm curious when you're planning to install that Beta Diesel? I'd be worried about scratching something during the install if all your paint and varnish is done. The boat is really starting to shape up and it looks beautiful.

  18. Sencillamente me encanta como Aladín tiene todos los gatos/sargentas puestas en un travesaño.
Really nice song Maya, a lovely contrast between the hamering MIDI and the organic violin. The two sides of Maya that we have seen all along this project (and even before) in just one song. Marvelous, period.

  19. Thanks Mia for the performance, still waiting for you sing along with your playing on this channel.
I think you have a nice voice, and you could publish your own version of songs of other artist.
I asked in the past comments for you to do this, thank you !
Maybe sing while playing your key board, and some violin mixed in. My self I think you have a real talent and think you should use it more. And maybe later go on like Americans got talent.
Do more singing and get our opinion !

  20. I love your music! I just purchased "Dance Me." I am looking forward to you both getting back to sailing. I enjoy the building process because you both do such great work.
