its still sinking in for me that you guys are parking up the boat well for now as Keith says yous can hop on board and go where ever whenever even if it means not having the kids around , I wish them all the best on their new adventures , and I think a prepper series at the Ranchero is an awesome idea I'd certainly enjoy it, all the survival stuff maybe the odd weapons (protection of course) some basement or underground bunker type activity and definitely the homegrown foods hot house gardening yep sounds like fun

I appreciate how industrious you two are, but I can't help but wonder why you didn't hire a professional cleaning crew to clean and sanitize the place before your return. The hot tub came out great! Ive been watching for a couple years now right about the time Anna departed the boat. Watching the other kids grow and mature with the great parenting as been a pleasure. Its exciting to see how the two of you continue on your new journey while the kids do other things.
Thanks for showing some of the less awesome parts of arriving to find the cabin has been the tomb of flies. Keeps it real!

You guys are making me miss the mountains and my Jeep. Keith, you can get more aggressive tires on that thing and do better in the snow but you'll pay for it on the roads and flat ground. No kids around is a big transition. The good news is you'll have grandkids before too long….suggestions for future sails, Sea of Cortez, Puget Sound, San Juan Islands….Would watch prepper series.
Have you thought about maybe taking in foster kids?

It's absolutely gorgeous at the cabin. Renee you looked great all fixed up at the end you are always very pretty. You guys had perfect timing for the snow. I'm in the UP of Michigan Ontonagon at the moment and we usually always have 6 to 12+ feet of snow but not this year. This yr. It's been in the 50s already. Snow does make it feel more relaxed and peaceful.
Thanks for a GREAT episode. The transition to empty nest definitely takes a bit to get use to always miss them but you will find your way. Just give yourselves time and phone calls whenever your missing them. Enjoy your time away next week you definitely deserve it.

I’ve only seen flies like that one time and it also wasn’t an abandoned house, technically speaking.
In the case that I saw, the gunk in the pipes once the water stopped flowing after a while the maggots started eating and then became flies and came out of the drains.
Prepping "city style" is my favorite hobby…heck yeah, I'd watch your channel for that.
As much as I miss the children not being in the content, I know you all will keep us entertained and inspired as long as you keep making content ❤
