I love self tacking jibs
Another excellent video. I envy you guys living in such a nice country. Better than this third world shithole called England where i sail
As Paul Hogan would say, “Now that’s an unboxing” excellent video Paul. Well deserved praise from your Spanish friend. So good the see Celery Top Pine being put to such good use.
Always like a good boat tour.
Thanks Chris and thanks Paul! Just wonderful to see her on the Hawkesbury and look forward to some good times sailing together.
Nice looking boat! Always fun spending time on the water with you and your mates!
Congratulations on the new boat, she’s a beaut.
I believe MIT has the complete Herreshoff library in their collection. I think some drawings are available on line. I havent checked in awhile.
She is a beauty!!!
amazing
Great video (as always)!
Great job as always Paul. Some new music there?
I just fell in love with MARLOU ! But she is under 18 (foot)
Lovely boat and a successful launch – thanks for the video and hope to catch up with you guys on the Hawkesbury soon.
This was an interesting fore sail set up.
Its a lovely boat that Chris has got, but I hope he at least re-ties the jib sheet at the clew, looks like its only a thumb knot. Now he has a boat, he will have to learn, at the very least, a bowline…..
That boat with a trailer has to cost at least $30,000.
I’d hate to ding it up like I have every boat I’ve built and the seagoing yachts I’ve owned. But I have them to use, not look at 😆
Great days Paul mucking about with mates and boats in that beautiful place in the world.
Thanks for taking us along.
Post script I don't know if you follow Chris and Sarah Anne down south he also puts out a great video fir blokes like us.
Welsh design?
Another great video. I own the Bayraider 20, they are beautiful boats. Maybe an idea for a video is to go over different rigging types and there benefits. It maybe a little controversial since everyone has there favorites. Also when you guys are planning a cruise before you know wind conditions, in general how far do you plan to go in one day?
Is it fibreglass or wood construction? Gorgeous boat ❤
Wonderful as always. Glad you put the images of the boats that were sent in. They keep me thinking, I could do this to!
Thanks for another calming video. I noticed the built in step or MARLOU’s rudder and it reminded me of the steps on the rudder of my old Herreshoff 31. I don’t know why more boats don’t provide that convenience/safety feature. Being able to climb aboard from the water certainly outweighs any added drag.
Really like the Bay Raider series boats. Still trying to win lotto so I can afford one (sadly). The Welsford Navigator is my other choice, but hard to get second hand in Australia. My last yacht was a Bavaria 32, lovely easy to sail fixed keel boat. However, the cruising dingy offers so much adventure in Australia. There are many rivers to explore on the east coast, then Moreton Bay, Harvey Bay and then the Great Barrier Reef.
Your mates` new boat looks awesome. Yours is nice, but it`s getting a bit old now, are you getting itchy feet? 😉
Muy lindos videos
Me gustaría enviar fotos de mi velero. Es un dinghy 12 pies. No se cómo hacerlo
You make some good videos!
That 17 footer is a 'purdy' little fart.
🙏🦉
I love that he named her after his sister. Sisters are special.
I'm still trying to understand the function of the "mizzen sail"… Why your mainsail has no boom,; etc. ? ( Oh well; She sails fine; Doesn't She?)…
Stunning boat. I love the Bayraiders, kind of like a Drascombe Lugger but completely and utterly modernised so they're fast, safe, easy to sail and have some great features. I'll add Iguanas onto the list of dangerous animals/insects that Aus has, but i'm gonna need a new notepad to fit them all in!!!!
