O mare greseala…

Give yourself a break! And get yourself a breaker bar and a set of big sockets. Grind grooves in the outside of the sockets that accept those flanges, which really can’t take much hammering. Personally I can’t imagine the special tool working any better. And they still work as sockets…
Somehow I think the part was meant to be changed out and so it is for the best.
I would agree with Maya on one’s surroundings affecting the heart/soul. Self awareness & compassion to self r important. Good on u for overcoming disappointments 🇨🇦 ❤
Mya, I agree with you. It is necessary and fulfilling to the innermost part of us.
Maya, you are so right in your thoughts on the interior! The feeling is what counts! And the comparison with the practical “shed” is just perfect. Wisdom!
Mold release wax is what I have always used, inexpensive solution…and when epoxy is in frustrating areas on metal areas local heat with new epoxy 150-300 will liquify, if fully cured it could be as high as 600 degrees…
You have the YouTube chanel for boat work, your tequniquues mirror what I was taught and learned…your skill level and ability to plan and execute is a joy to watch, real boat repair and refurbishing is so refreshing! Kudos!!
Aladino, we all made and will make mistakes. The ones who pretend they've never made any are either liars or not conscious of their limits.
Maya, I think you've made the right choice. The ceiling is not in perfect condition but not in bad condition either. A light sanding and then varnishing/painting should give a near to perfect result. Sometimes going too far is counterproductive.
The old saying…”learning by doing “…😅😪👍🍀
The 'mistake' segment/reflection by Alidino and the environment/surrounding segment/reflection by Maya were both timely things I very much needed to hear… Thank you both for sharing and expressing those feelings so well!
Hey you are better than this, you don't have problems you have solution's
HEAT UP THE FITTINGS (Heat gun works) AND THE EPOXY WILL RELEASE (and make a mess)
Hi there, why not Marlon thru hulls??? No corrosion, no grounding, easier maintenance…. approved by all national authorities, etc. I've had mine in for almost 30 hrs and now 1/2 way around the world… less expensive too!
I line the bubble bath spa for when things are difficult
Can’t wait for that slash date!! Exciting!!
I prefer more do, less talk.
I would absolutely go for quality synthetic through hulls, they have proven themselves being really strong and before all totally impervious to corrosion. Bronze parts have lasted 50 years with minimum degradation but that was a time of more professional well informed boats owners like fishermen, a time of less electonics and much fewer shore connections now often self installed….and less less boats.Chance of being at the wrong berth next to the guy who left with his shore line hanging underwater became so high that I see bronze better suited for statues.
While working on my PhD my major professor told me if we never make mistakes means we never do anything.
Love your comments on the quality of the space you live in Maya… I can fully relate, being a lifelong woorden boat owner myself. Often considering stepping over to a less maintenance intensive alternative, but each time I visit a boat show and look around in the standard polyester new yachts, I know it will never happen. For exact the reasons you point out: there is no soul in them…
The bright work is gorgeous.
Epoxy is strong but does not handle heat well. I have had luck pulling a screw set in epoxy by heating with a soldering iron. Heating the bronze thread with a blow torch have weakened the epoxy bond enough to get that out. Great that you solved it, well done!
Each compromise has that potential of making you a little less happy with the outcome.
You could have tried heating the through hole with a torch – heat will soften epoxy, the bit that seeped into the threads would have softened quicker than the rest and it should have been possible to take it apart….
You two have to be the most talented couple I have ever had the pleasure to get to know. Love your detailed projects and that passion you exude doing them. Much Love and blessings on your journey ❤️🔥
Fantastic work and video as usual, you guys are great. Respect from the United Kingdom 🙏
As you probably have heard, Good judgement is the result of experience and experience the result of bad judgement
She is a 100 percent right
(@Min 17: It is already perfect, but then, she decided to sand it again, paint it again, and the result is perfect again, but, then decided to sand it again, paint it again, and the result is perfect again; but then, why not sanding it again? painting it again? for another perfect result again? #endless #groundhog day #Free_Paint_Lets_Finish_It) OK, I am making fun of you but, still, we love you guys! #watchAllYourEpisodes❤
I think you both are very talented and artistic.
Hi. Mistakes do happen. A tip for you. Epoxy can be destroyed with heat. Polyester resin on the other hand is termo hardening. So a pencil torch applied in the right manner would work. Cheers, Peter.
Yah! Maya! Way to go with the bath.
Wax is your friend here. Get some mold release wax (paste wax), and wax the bronze faces and threads. Done it countless times and have never had a problem.
