A lot of women have sailed around alone. Perhaps she’s the first American but I doubt it.
I’m sure more people would do it if it was financially feasible. Take what 3-4 months off to sail on a 40 foot yacht. So no income for approximately a quarter of the year I have no idea what that boat costs and that’s not even adding in the supplies or equipment needed. That trip was easily over 1 million dollars. Now how many people are there in the world who can afford that much time and money? She has ultra rich parents that’s for sure
