Love it, love it, love it. So happy for you guys.
Very poor helm station design. You will not be happy with it at all while underway. It will be difficult to operate the winches in front of the Navstation, all the halyards and sheets will run over it and over the steering wheel. You have no access to the cluthes from behind the steering wheel. You will have no view at the sails while operating the winches. No sun or rain protection. Your flexible solar panels will fail after 1-5 years, go for an arch at the back instead. If there is any shade on the panels (sheets, boom, halyrds) a whole panel will stop producing energy. Very poor design as well. BTW I love your videos and wish you all the best. I hope I am wrong!
Fantastic, fabulous vessel, I am sure you are going to love your new life on this masterpiece. I look forward to seeing the performance under way in various conditions. Just one extra cabin could be a bit limiting but I am sure you have thought of contingency plans to accommodate extra's from time to time. Welcome to the luxury sailing life, I can't wait to see you making the most of it!
This was published by Outremer in 2023: The most significant is the power required for propulsion relative to sea state. Whilst in a flat sea and no wind, 4-5KwH were needed to propel the catamaran. But as soon as the wind picked up, the power needed to propel the yacht increased exponentially. By the time they were motoring into 25 knot headwinds and their associated chop, the power necessary to move the streamlined hulls of the Outremer increased to 25kWH. That’s still more than the solar panels and hydroprop could produce on a day with full sunlight whilst sailing at 10 knots.
It is clear now that Outremer, nor anyone in the boating industry, has yet solved the task of providing a truly energy autonomous solution for blue water sailors.

Could you explain how the water maker works exactly, I’m a watcher and never been on a boat at sea myself. This is like a Reddit question on explain it to me like I’m five 😂. I would likely have difficulty even getting through the door to the workshop area, I’m too big for a sail boat I understand that fully now😅
