Your old stomping grounds too: I spent many a night at anchor in some cove at the Channel Islands sailing out of Ventura Harbor, CA; sea lions, pods of dolphins, great whites, and divers going over the side at night to get lobster and abalone to be cooked on a hibachi hung over the back of a sailboat back in the 1980's. I've not missed a single episode of this current journey and have recommended the LA to Hawaii episode to a number of old friends. Maybe word of mouth will carry you to 8 million.

A lot of die-hard sailors, including myself, have lost interest in the never ending drama of "couples" sailing channels. Too much "WE ALMOST SANK OUR BOAT!!!!!!" drama, too much "woohoo look at my boobs!!!!!!" and not enough SAILING. I only follow solo sailors now.
Maybe you could do a course on sailing with a drogue. RYA or equivalent? Maybe develop a specially adapted rudder for the course and then commercialise it?
