Iată povestea modului în care asigurarea m-a eșuat atât de greu în ultimii ani.

  1. i work a bit with insurancem i gotta say, sounds like ur in the wrong here. I had a house owner come with the same reasoning, he has a fire in his house and managed to put it out himself at his own risk (kudos). He wanted to be compensated from the insurance for his efforts because he saved the house, instead of letting it be burnt down and have the insurance rebuild the house for him. So in his mind he was basically owed the value of a new house from the insurance company. Simply the insurance cant pay everyone the worst case cenario money if it isnt needed. Be happy that the house you got is saved, with all the valueables in it and trinkets of ur heritage and whatnot, the insurance cleared all the damanges etc that was caused.

Same with Chris, sure you couldve let the sunk boat sit there, but that wasnt even a option cus the marina wouldve lifted it up and billed you anyway. Noone wants the envoirmental damage that couldve happend, but why should the insurance pay you for something that COULDVE happened but didnt.

In Sweden during the winter we always lift the boats out of the water to prevent stuff like this from happeing, its just not worth the risk and hassle even if the insurance covers it.

  2. If you didnt want to keep the boat, the insurance company would have got it out as it would have been their problem. Its not about liability, its that you choose to keep it

  3. Dude thanks for such good info… I was thinking to switch to state farm this year cuz it’s a bit cheaper of what I’m paying now, but after your video I’m just keeping my current insurance….definitely 😊…. Love content vids 👍🏼

  4. state farm is such a joke. ive had issues with them twice which doesnt seem like a lot but they straight up do everything in their power to not pay. the most recent time this happened was this guy essentially rear ended me but on my driver side rear at a stop light while he was in the turn lane and i was going straight and he thought to just go straight. i took photos of both cars his wasnt damaged but my whole rear door was completely screwed along with the quarter panel. we exchanged info. and he said do you want to get the cops involved and i said i got your info and pictures and i have to get to work so i think theres no need and we went about our day. well all because i didnt get a report state farm was like "well with no report the stories dont match from what our client is telling what happened so we arent paying your deductible" mind you my deductible is like 300 bucks. really state farm? you wont pay 300 fucking dollars to fix my rear door and shit? 300 dollars….thats it, thats all they had to pay me. i will never deal with them and ive only heard horror stories. im so glad i have USAA.

  5. State farm is a joke they cancelled my home insurance over a tree that was not on my property and never told me I found out 10 months after the cancelled me

  6. State farm has been pretty fair to me in the past, but on my last claim I had to threaten Legal action. Then, miraculously they agreed to pay. Now I am wondering if I will get that cancellation letter.

  7. State farm sucks. Thats why they have to spend millions on advertisements. Find a company that spends money on being better for customers. Youre welcome.

  8. Ive watched this guys comments off and on since the beginning. This guy just reeks of incompetence and chaos. Im happy he has found a place to make a living for himself, but he just stikes me as someone who doesnt manage life very well. It would be hard to have lots of resources and be stuck in a persona and life where everything around you is much like this boat. Just surrounded by marginal mechanical devices that are just half ass. Ive been to sema to see most all of his projects, and they are nothing i would desire if i had means for the real alternative. But this is the world he has created and thrives in. This whole insurance deal is just a metaphor. Complaining about being underinsured when its own fault, just makes him look ingrateful and ignorant. If he would have insured it properly, he would have had more than enough rider to cover removal of the boat. He could have insured it for any value and he chose to under insure it becuase of his lack of patience. Having a 10% metric of salvage recovery is a simple metric, and its all on the consumer to know. To be overpaying for insurance by 4x, dude, thats on you! Once again, what world do you live in where you are overpaying for something that much. Here is the kicker on that. He is likely now way under insuring his fleet on his jew policy, and likely not intentionally, but ignorantly. But hopefully he knows his policies good enough to know how much he is self insuring.

Its just frustrating to watch a reasonably nice and successful guy not take full ownership of his own issues, and just own it when he has way more resources than the average person.

Hopefully this is a lesson to the normal person. Know your insurance policies, and know the benefit or liability they offer while also understanding the comparative cost they offer.
