A – 1 It's looking very good !!! You two are hard workers and Matt is a pretty good machine operator ! I like the sail boat repairs and restoration but I like this much better . Good luck I can't wait for the next episode . Thanks
Often have to re-rock a couple times. Usually start with the 2-4" rock then add smaller on top. Y'all did well.
Yeah it’s the chicken lady Kat. I could not take care of the animals and homestead without my Massey Ferguson with front loader. You’re gonna be glad you got the round wheels because they won’t you up your new road. If you were driving on it with the track, it’ll be destroying your road every time you went on top of it instead of packing it down.
Probably should have laid down road fabric before the the stone.
One thing you'll need to factor in when you get to laying concrete on that hill is that the slabbs will want to slide down the hill over time. I don't know what the solution is to this.
I have been spreading 12 Yards of 5/8s minus for the last 4 days and this 69 year old dude is whooped. Being young makes a big difference your doing great
why wont you give to the jews?
maybe you would prefer life in gaza iraq iran stop whining
The “powder” is called fines, and are needed for gravel to compact
👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
Roc crushed concrete will harden the road up
I’m always amazed how fast Matt can mater any trade he goes for🎉
The first load of rock should be a large rock 1" to 1.50" to get a good base and then a crush rock .25" to .75" on top.
Colonizer
In the SOFT spots you might want to put down a 3-5 inch fracture base then top off with grade 9 or whatever they call it down there ❤ GREAT JOB you two❤
SALUDOS E VISTO MUCHAS PERSONAS QUE PRIMERO LLEGAN ABAJO CON EL CAMION Y COMIENZA A ESPARCIR LA PIEDRA CON LA TUMBA ABIERTA MIENTRA EL CAMION SE MUEVE HACIA ARRIBA. CREO QUE ASI ES MAS FACIL.
"Singin': "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be alright!"
"Saying', ("This is my message to you") Mr Marley. Rock on guys! Haha.
Love ya work, you are a couple of troopers for sure. You are allowed to be pissed off every now and then, all will be ok ❤.
❤❤❤Its a safety switch just like you stated! It is to protect your pump from overheating. Basically a temp Guage for the hydraulic fluid. You can unplug it if you need to get by until you replace it . I HAVE A NEW HOLLAND LX 665 AND after replacing numerous times , the mechanic at the dealership told me I could bypass if I wasn't worried about overheating, and there is a temp Guage to monitor. Redundant failsafe.
Zzzzz
It's way past time to change the name of "Sailing Good Bad and Ugly " to "Living Good Bad and Ugly " just my humble opinion!!
Bro. You got internet. The video for fixing the bobcat traction lock is right here on youtube. Fix it an show them PR boys how us 'Mericans do it.
Once it packs down you'll be good.
Another awesome video from my favorite YouTubers!!
Looking good guys
Matt has had a lot of good advice on building the road, I think Matt is the kind of guy that just does it his way.
The professional road people us slag from a steel mill it the waste from melting iron to make steal they use this stuff in swamps to build roads so any chance of finding that there? We use 1inch or 1 or 2 to build a base to build off of ! Remember it all way fun until somebody gets poked in the eye with a sharp stick !
You need big rocks for the soft areas. Then come back with the smaller stuff. Big needs to be the base. And it will need a lot from what I see.
It will all work out in the end. Just be patient and keep moving Forward!!
Good job!! 🫂🫂🫂🫂
Hey Matt and kirsten
Good job. I think you needed a membrane beneath the gravel
Billy Bobcat will finish. He always does.
Take switch out it is at your feet u just want have brakes
Large fist sized jagged stones, followed by medium and then the small stuff. That will make a more stable base in the clay.
Best wishes and good luck on your road, but it would be much less work and fewer headaches on the Double-D!
MALIBU, here we come!
I want to say, I don't know if anyone mentioned it on the other video, but the concrete pad that you guys have to build is seriously solid for taking such a load. Dad must be proud.
Cool and rare segment with the animals.
You cracked me up! "Let, him, roll down" 🙂
Transport companies should have put on the right rocks first
You guys need a dog, period end. 🐶
Over 2 or 3 acres ( 1.2 hectares) you need a tractor (John Deere 300 series). You will wear it out if you stay there. Great work indeed! Get a box blade to keep the road neat and tidy. Good luck on the wedding planning too!
Here I was thinking Matt was doing really well and had started to get really good at operating the bobcat, you'll probably find you need to get another truck load to patch up some sections in a few months, after that it'll probably be good for years 🤞
