Another good thing about New Zealand, No Inheritance Tax!!!!!!
Fair winds boys
That's a Kahawai, there's no size limit on them.
It's the most underrated fish here imo. Great to catch, great smoked, and not bad pan fried.
Knock them out and bleed them for best results.
Expect to catch these right through to Australia where they're called Salmon
Get in touch if you come to Brisbane, you can go sightseeing on my bandit 1250. How did you get on with zulu waterways? Fair winds lads
Dear Ratty, Moley may be sleeping all night at sea but he does do a good video, & on good time. Intrepid effort by you both. 😊
I saw 2 filets swim away. Looks like a unbelievable natural harbor. Small sailboats looked very fast. It been great if you could have gotten a fish or 2 from the fishermen. Take care boys- rick
You fellas are really amazing sailors, adaptable to any conditions and situations. Makes your videos unpredictable and interesting. Fair winds 🤗🥰🇨🇦
☘️Happy St. Paddy’s ☘️
Keep up the videos boys, love seeing an upload from you guys. Dont overthink comments, that fish cake one seems to have stuck with you guys 😂
Oh, how I know that 20 knots, zero knots, 10 knots, zero knots, 25 knots etc… I feel for you!
Delicious!!!
Windy Wellington!!
Cruised Mexico with Ann and Anthony from Christ Church !! 35 years ago!!
Morning (where I am, by 15 minutes) lads. Another great upload – thanks. When yous get to the South Island of NZ, will this be the further south you've pushed? Cheers and beers (yep, I can do a Guinness 😁), and here's to consistency, which I doubt you'll get much of for a while. Fenders in and balls out! 😁👌✌️
You guys gunna see more than just the coastline? Seems to me you are just rushing to do a circumnavigation and missing out on seeing the place
Loving NZ. It looks great. Take care.
The Wairapa Coast is pretty tough. We did the trip in December it was tough enough then.
If you get to Lyttleton enjoy the town. Great walks and pubs. Good pie shop too.
Keep safe.
Are you going to swing into the Marlborough Sounds?
Napier looks nice.
Lads, why do you become so concerned with having no wind / breeze. You have all the time in the world. Fish, read, swim, boat maintenance. Chill lads, open up the solar panels. Job done. Arrrrr learn how to cook. There is loads to do when you are in calm water.
6:36 absolutely sublime. Delicious, even!
Cheers guys love a pint of the black stuff myself Another brill episode to add to all the others look forward to them every week Stay Safe both 🏴🏴
Typical souther Ocean sailing. She will throw everything at you. Not your typical “pacific” champagne sailing. What’s the plan as you move south? Aussie waters will be a bigger challenge with winter approaching. Are you gonna go North?
Nothing like a Guinness….. Frustrating sailing, you win some you lose some but I always remember the good ones 👍
Just like an epic sail by a blue yacht I saw last week from TRSR that I looked twice at.Nah can’t be.
Super stuff, do ye have to go head to wind to put a reef in the main
🤞
Love all the art deco buildings in Napier
Hang in there lads, you're doing fine. Enjoy your cheese!
Some lovely blue sky's and great sailing even if conditions are a challenge. Haven’t seen a blue sky in east cumbria for seems like months ! Ok we got one day a few days ago but that's it. Ground still saturated here, wellies for walking since October…….lovely ….not !
I do not know what your time constraints are but you should head into the Marlborough Sounds. Be aware of the katabatic winds and consider anchoring off the headlands and not in the bays if they are below very large mountains. Go to Nelson and into Tasman Bay. Just stunning sailing. Talk to some local sailors about it.
Your doing terrific. Do use windy most times?
Thank you
You have certainly had some changeable conditions . My test you when you don’t get much sleep. 👍👍👍👍
Ka-ha-why=Kahawai
Thanks
Another cool😅 video 👍🏴
That town you showed us round looked lovely. You are certainly having a challenging passage down to your next stop . X
Glad you turned around, facing the Roaring Forties with winter coming on is a daunting decision.
Wise decision! (On sailing up north) Greetings from Friesland.
Be good to talk to others that have used castle point? I read that its no good in a southerly, westerly shelter only. I dived in the bay, i remember it being quite shallow. Juat discovered you guys, looking forward to following your journey. 🙂
