3. Nice review, although you don't go into the negatives apart from the design being slow and underperforming. All boats have positives and negatives and Island Packets are known for the chain plate issue and having to replace them is time consuming and/or very expensive. Their water tanks may need replacement and again, very expensive to replace. The stringers are part of a molded pan assembly that make some parts of the bilge inaccessible. These are a few that I know of from a causal acquaintance of the boats, I am sure there's more. For me, a boat of this type of design, I would prefer a Cabo Rico 42, but that's just me……

5. Hi Tim , can you do a vid on electronics ?
   It's an absolute nightmare trying to figure out what to get and compatibility between different manufacturers.
   Radar , navigation , fishfinder , AIS , autopilot , VHF etc , etc.
   It would probably take several episodes to cover it all.

13. Concur with all said in this as an owner of a 2008 IP370. This is my 7th sailboat and my last two were ocean going catamarans. I'm living on her in the San Francisco Bay Area and getting ready to sail down to Mexico and beyond later this year – against the common characterization of arm chair sailors. Many Island Packets in remote places around the world, and the sea kindly motion and self tending vs. the cats (which I sailed across the Atlantic) make it a snap to single hand.

16. Great coverage of the IP370. You should review a blue water boat that likes to sail, like a Valiant 40!

17. This is my dream boat. Nope, idc I won't win Thursday nights, idc I'll be making the odd extra tack & yes I will practice bringing my older IP into tight berths. Probably not a great first boat, however.
    Off to Lady K next. I assume they drop together to pick up a 2-in-1 & you guys have differentiation in mind better than I do. Cheers.
