  1. Ok, go live in a Travel trailer for a month. Then imagine everything you take home like groceries, etc is a hundred yard trek to get to your home.

Then do laundry at $7 per load. Don’t forget you have to have your holding tank pumped, weekly at $25. Oh,,btw, you dropped your keys into the water getting on your home. Plus, when you go to work, you smell like diesel and holding tank chemicals. You will go out on the boat a fraction of the time you would have if you weren’t living on the boat because everything you own slides off the counters onto the floor. Plus, there is always some guy on a 20’ outboard making a wake.

  2. Ì have been making this comparison for many years and even more so now with the absurd escalations of house prices!

I could live aboard that boat very easily if not for the cost of diesel.

  3. I almost bought a 250k yacht a yr ago to live on but I can’t get a marina to allow live aboard where I live so I’m not going to be able to live on a yacht until I’m ready to sail around the world but I’m saving for it hopefully within the next 5 yrs I can set off

  4. Yes I have thought of doing just that I’m a veteran and bearly make through the month living in my truck I’ve been on survivor mode for three years now and needing a little help but mountain of med bill over due personal loans and a aurtise in my hip is preventing me from working
    Love the boat

  5. Living in a boat is similar to living in a camping van, they have to find a location to park. Living in the boat, the only way to buy is a battery charger. Living in the boat looks like a fisherman, they need experience to know how to fix the boat or weather cast.

  6. I researched living on a boat and it’s very expensive if you can even find a marina that will let you do it and/or an open slip that you can inherit or take over.

  7. If I was a bit younger and still had my current income, I’d love to live on a boat. But there’s plenty of disadvantages….one being the speed in which a fire will spread through a boat.
